Wow, what a beautiful setting. We were offered a window seat with a view of the sea and the Headland Hotel which was stunning especially as the sun set. The service was amazing and the restaurant itself was beautiful with all the fabric drapes and...the light, friendly, romantic atmosphere. We treated ourselves to a bottle of champagne and we loved the touches that the Laurent-Perrier champagne we selected was served in Laurent-Perrier ice bucket and had Laurent-Perrier branded champagne glasses. Everything screamed about the brand and luxury. The food was as beautiful as the champagne and the setting. The space between each course was perfect and the waiter was very attentive without being overwhelming. He offered his knowledge and advice on the food when we asked questions and helped make you feel important. Definitely we would recommend.More

We come to Newquay from Sheffield every year to celebrate my husband’s birthday. We enjoy supporting the local restaurant’s . I always book a few on line for us to visit during our trip . This year I wanted to surprise my husband & booked...a extra outing for Father’s Day. We arrived Saturday ( the day before Fathers Day) only to receive a voicemail from someone to say our booking had been rejected. I immediately phoned them back with the booking reference & confirmation number , only to be told that unfortunately because we are non residents our booking was cancelled. I explained I had made the booking 5 days in advance & because it was Fathers Day the following day “What we were supposed to do “ the responsibility was awful . Very Disappointing & Very Unprofessional.More

The food here is absolutely amazing, brilliant quality and fantastic with dietary requirements. The menu is seasonal with a good range of choices. Everytime my partner and I go it just gets better and the staff are incredibly welcoming. If you want an evening out...with great food and a calm atmosphere with a beautiful view, this is the place to go.More

We dined in the restaurant on our the first evening of a 7 night stay, and thought the food was average but over priced. We then ate out at a range of amazing restaurants in Newquay, and decided not to use Dunes again during our...stay. We had the trio of fish followed by the cheese board. In summary if you wanted to eat on a short break the restaurant is reasonable, but given the choice I would go elsewhere.More

After our third visit to Dune, we felt it was time to leave a review to recognise the team that work tirelessly to provide a fantastic experience. Living locally we know how important it is to support local businesses out of season - now more...than ever. We always make sure we support those businesses that care about their customers, and focus on keeping locals wanting to return time and time again. Dune is one of those businesses. The staff give you the time and attention to make your evening enjoyable - no request is too much. The food is delicious, cooked to perfection, and across three courses is plenty to fill you without feeling gorged. Our most recent visit was in place of what should have been our wedding day. Mateusz and Jack made our evening enjoyable, offering us a glass of fizz to celebrate. Thanks again to Mateusz, Jack, Daniel and all those behind the scenes that we don't get to see, we'll be back for sure!More

Our first night we went to the dune restaurant in the hotel, for starters I had the crab which was good, for main I had the steak which was disappointing. Not only was it very pricey for the portion size but was very chewy and...bland. I can’t comment on other food options but for what we had it was very overpriced and very disappointing.More

Beautiful view over Fistral Beach. Lovely decor. Helpful staff. Food was lovely too - and good choice for vegetarians. Only reason I haven’t scored a 5 is that it was pricey! It cost us £100 for 1x bottle of wine, a starter and a main...course each (all vegetarian food).More

We stayed at the hotel for 3 nights and dinner was included each night within our package. Having purchased these kind of hotel and dinner deals in the past, my expectations weren’t overly high and I was expecting good food, but nothing spectacular. I was...very wrong! Firstly, the service was impeccable. Mateusz and his team were attentive, friendly and we always felt totally safe dining at the restaurant due to the excellent safety measures they have implemented. Service was always prompt and the views from the restaurant really are breathtaking. Every course over the 3 nights was presented beautifully and tasted delicious. Hats off to the chef who has created a 5* menu at a 4* hotel. The food was fantastic.More
