I am a regular visitor to Penzance and have eaten in the Turks Head on quite a few occasion. The food has usually been quite decent. However, last week, after a hard days walking, I called in for an evening meal. I was very hungry so I ordered the 'large' fish and chips which, at £14, I expected to be... More

Called in on Saturday for a couple of drinks. Great little pub with a good group of locals. A little expensive but you get what you pay for. Will call in again

Trying to find a decent and non-fussy place to eat in Penzance sure was a challenge without having to resort to fish & chips. We read the reviews and arrived at the Turks Head (the oldest pub in Penzance). We had a friendly welcome, and a decent menu to choose from. The food was good pub fare, and it had... More

Jolly pub with good atmosphere. Very nice for late evening drink. Warm welcome. Nice to see a real old pub name celebrating Suleyman the Magnificent rather than the Slug and Turban or some such nonsense.

To be honest, we called in here because we were killing time strolling around Chapel Street until dinner. What a good job we did though. A historic, cosy, welcoming pub with a choice of good beers, great service and superb, I mean SUPERB food. If you come to Penzance, visit this pub. The staff are really friendly and the pub... More

My husband an I were recommended to eat here on our second evening in penzance and we were not disappointed! We had a lovely meal and the staff were lovely. I didn't catch the bar mans name but our waitress was called Hannah and she could not have made us feel more welcome. The atmosphere was great and we would... More

We have known the Turk's head for 35 years but it has become very good - the food is restaurant-level standard and delicious (try the Sennen rabbit), generous, and the staff are always friendly and helpful. The building is one of the oldest in Penzance and the atmosphere great. We love it,

Popped in here for a quick drink and must say the staff and service were great. Super friendly. We didn't eat here but the menu looked varied and interesting. I can thoroughly recommend the pub for drinks!!

We popped in there last night for a quick pint.. the pub was lovely on the inside, with a good looking dinner menu (shame we weren't eating there).. the beer was good, and the atmosphere friendly, would go there again.
