If you're in Cornwall cruise on down to Doc Martin's favourite pub for some fabulous food. Last time I went my friend had fish and chip and said, wow, the batter. The lemon was charred and the chips, well so much can be wrong with chips but not with these. She loved it. I had the Bouillabaisse and need a... More

I highly recommend this restaurant! We came to Port Isaac for a weekend away and visited here for dinner. The staff are lovely and very laid back. We were taken upstairs to a table next to a window, where we could sit and listen to the sea while we enjoyed our meal! The food was delicious with really big portions... More

Our evening started off well, one of the bar staff was very helpful and friendly he was from North Yorkshire. We ordered our food which arrived and all was ok. The pasta was hard on the outside and not cooked. We sent it back and the member of staff came back and said the Chef said that's how it comes.... More

The fish was fantastic and if the chips were fresh, better cooked this would be a 5 star review. The staff were great about it when I brought it to their... More

It was our "go to" place every evening for our holiday weeks in Port Isaac but the menu changed and not for the better. We have tried to engage via email etc to understand if the menu is likely to... Friendly bar staff, well-kept ales, small but very tasty lunch menu, and unbeatable view of Port Isaac harbour from the terrace. Would definitely return.

We visited the Golden Lion twice for coffee while in the area - both times we sat on the balcony as it affords lovely views of the harbour and of course, Doc Martin's house. Service was excellent and the atmosphere friendly. A must do if you are a fan of the Doc Martin series!

Lindsay and a great young gentleman looked after us this evening with the best fish and chips ever and local Cornish pale ale and great service. Highly recommend.
