We came here for dinner one night and it's a great pub with lots of atmosphere to get a drink at. You should definitely stop at drinks though!! We made the mistake of starting with food and ordered a plate of local oysters to get us going. Once they arrived one of them smelt really bad and we had no... More

Very small really and not the cleanest place ive been, a bit on the expensive side obviously set up to extract money from tourists.

We didn't eat here... Just had a couple of drinks and were perusing the menu with a view to eat when a 'Jobsworth' told us that our 2 year old Grandchild couldn't finish his small tub of ice cream on their premises because we hadn't bought it there. I do understand that people bringing in their own food isn't right..... More

Lovely atmosphere to sit and have a pint, but the prices were more expensive than I'm used to. Still a lovely pub and friendly staff.

The Sloop Inn is on the front line overlooking the beach which is an unrivalled location. The pub is historically very old and serves a variety of good beers. The downside is that it is so popular that it gets incredibly busy and it's virtually impossible to get somewhere to sit either inside or outside, so you stand propping up... More

Olde world pub situated right on the seafront. Very popular so get there early if you want to sit outside and watch the world go by. Huge selection of local beers and they are happy to give you a little taster before you buy. They also provide plastic glasses if you are taking your drinks over the road onto the... More

Called in for Sunday lunch £10.95 but when you buy two you get a free bottle of wine. We had chicken and roast beef both served with potatoes and four veg. Couldn't fault it at all and the mixed berry pavlova was delicious. I am sure we will be back.

We always visit when we are in St Ives , usually for a drink, great choice of drinks and the place oozes charm. Been an inn since the mid 14th century well placed in the town. We did have a meal last time we were last week, best scampi I have ever had, my wife had the Thai curry, full... More

I seem to end up here on every visit I make to St. Ives and I've never had a bad night yet. Good live music, friendly atmosphere and a good selection of real ale. My only disappointment was that they don't sell any bottled craft beers. Great location and a St Ives institution.

This must be the most popular pub in St Ives as it's always busy. Food is excellent as is the beer (try the Jail Ale, one of the best beers down there (in my opinion anyway)). Small booths at the back of the pub make for an intimate dining experience away from the crowds.
