We had walked past the tea rooms many times and decided to pop in for a cream tea. It was very average and the scones had been microwaved which made them a little soggy. Probably wouldn't return.

This place has been given a fresh makeover by a new group of keen restauranteurs who have taken over from the old guard who have exited stage left. Fear not you band of hungry and thirsty people, you will not be let down by the wonderful cakes and great coffee plus outside seating in the sun. it is lovely to... More

We have eaten here a few times, in 2014/15, & although a little slow with service, the cream tea was good, as was the toasted sandwiches we had, but last September we found the staff a little offhand, didn't seem interested in the fact that we were customers, so we didn't stay that time. Its on a bit of a... More

We stopped for a drink and a bite to eat mid afternoon. Nothing wrong with the place, but nothing great either. The competition is much better, and that's why they are always full. Would I go back? Only if other places were packed.

Our group of four stopped in for drinks and a snack. Two of our group had some very average scones which clearly weren't home baked, but had instead come from some supermarkets own brand range. A tuna sandwich was okay but for the bread which, again, seemed to have come from a supermarket 'budget' range. One of the drinks (a... More

Waited a long time to be saved when hot food arrived not great. Toast not warm. Latte Luke warm. Visited Bumbles every year for the past sixteen years however this time was certainly the last.

We stopped here for a takeaway cup of tea on our way back to the car park and were shocked at the price, especially for such a small cup!

We arrived at 3.15 and made our own way to a clear table. The waitress had seen us but never acknowledged us. We looked at the menu and made our choices. At 3.34 the waitress came to us and asked what we would like we pointed to the sandwiches and were immediately told that food finished at 3.30 but was... More

We arrived in St Ives early and hungry, So finding Bumbles tea room was handy. My mug of coffee, was excellent, 10x better than my last at Costa Coffee. The Tea and scones, with cream and strawberry jam,, Was standard fare.
