We eat regularly here, and have done for more than six years now, although this year we got a surprise as new owners have taken over, probably one of the few Cornish chippies NOT to sell pasties!!! The food was just as nice but on Sunday at 630ish we found they'd run out of mushy peas, despite being open for... More

The lunch special is great value and good fish and chips for the price, it also comes with tea or coffee so perfect for a quick stop while visiting st Ives on a budget. The staff are friendly too. We did ask for a dessert but they didn't have what was on the menu. That was the only downside.

We visited this cafe on our recent trip to St Ives. The cafe has lovely views overlooking the harbour. This is good chip shop food, if you are wanting something more special then this is not for you. The food did take a long time to arrive, despite not many people being in, and us just ordering standard chip shop... More

We came here after getting soaked and feeling a bit tired and cold. We wanted some 'proper' fish and chips and this place delivered! Don't be put off by the interior, although it looks a little dated the fish and chips are fantastic and very reasonably priced. The food was served quickly, was hot, the staff were friendly and we... As suggested in the title, luckily our group of friends visiting here had a good laugh about our experience at Kingfisher. If you re looking for a nice, clean fish and chip restaurant with friendly staff - DO NOT GO HERE! If you are looking for fish and chips to eat outside and can laugh about the unnecessarily grumpy old... More

Waitresses very grumpy and did not smile once when taking order. Although they said thank you and polite things their faces did not match. Food was nice but prices a bit steep for what was given.

We ate here on an evening with two kids. It's is a lovely little cafe/ restaurant set upstairs with gorgeous views of the harbour. Good choice of food and also kids food. The fish and chips were nice but have had better elsewhere. I found the batter a little too thick. Prices weren't too expensive however we spent £35 for... More

I visited this restaurant during August 2014 with my son, daughter and granddaughter. There were 3 other families with children who had all eaten and we were the only ones waiting for our food order. We ordered 3 cod and chips and a child's cheese burger meal with a orange squash, ribena and two fizzy drinks. I thought I was... More
