There is no question that St Mawes is definitely one of the places to stay in Cornwall, and it is clear that the local restaurants are trying to live up to that reputation. Went Thursday night with the wedding party had a wonderful evening sat upstairs and had a worderfull meal of fish chips and peas . The staff wonderful nothing to much trouble had a lovely night.

Had supper with wedding guests and they even allowed my dog to join us! Excellent food and service and very friendly staff. Highly reccommend it.

Locals love The Watch House .....as did we! Warm welcoming staff.....very helpful in selecting from their menu ...lots of choices ...we settled on the local raw oysters .....fresh and delicious! Very casual atmosphere with great staff! Dory & Geo USA

We have visited The Watch House many times and did so again last week, twice. The food is always perfect. The curry is amazing. We visited St Mawes for a few hours and decided to have some chips and sit on the beach and eat them. We were not disappointed, the chips were freshly cooked and delicious.

This is a high quality restaurant serving a varied and interesting menu based around good fresh fish but with plenty of choice and interesting menus. Decided to take our tea back to the caravan, my husband had fish, chips & mushy peas, I had sausage, chips & curry sauce, & 2 child meals. Went Friday evening without a booking luckily got a table straight away good menu with different items we had chicken schnitzel which was huge served with lovely salad very good value.Staff friendly and helpful
