I visited this restaurant as part of a group visit to catch up with old friends. The food and service were superb and the place was very tastefully decorated. I really enjoyed the experience and wouldn't hesitate to return (if I were to visit Exeter again). I would also happily recommend it to friends and family. Very well done!

We went to this restaurant to celebrate my Son's birthday . My wife and I ordered pulled beef and venison pasta. When it finally came neither my wife or I could find any meat only some sort of sauce with a mushroom quarterd and shared between us. To acknowledge they did give a full refund on both our meals,BUT it spoilt... More

We had a 'Little soul bread' starter to share. Described as 'doughy puffs', doughy they most certainly were, puffs they were not. Chewy and a little unpleasant. Wife had spag bol. Shes had it before and this time she remarked that it lacked flavour. I had Casareccia Pollo Piccante and it was quite nice I suppose, although, the Pollo was... More

Lovely airy and spacious restaurant. Had reserved a table but turned up early and were seated straight away. Very attentive waiter...albeit a little over attentive at times but put that down to the fact the restaurant wasn't busy as it was early evening and he was only dealing with three small tables. Were given a jug of water without having... More

We'd never eaten in a Zizzi, and I was slightly apprehensive that it would be like other national Italian chains...noisy, slow and underwhelming. How wrong was I! Our waiter, Ben, was friendly and attentive throughout our visit - such a nice chap! Mum and I shared the breseola special and the pulled pork arancini starters. Both were absolutely delicious and... Brilliant service! Wonderful food! Great atmosphere! After a dreadful experience with the Terrace nearby, Zizzi came to our rescue to celebrate our friends 40th Birthday. Even though they were full up, they were really accommodating. The dinning room was very well managed and we were found a table within a few minutes. Our waitress was really lovely and the food... This was a Birthday treat for my Husband. Restaurant was bustling and there was a nice atmosphere. Our food was very disappointing the chicken penne I ordered was piping hot but extremely salty and when Italian hot rustic pizza arrived at our table it was almost cold. We ended up drinking tap water with our meal as white wine arrived... More

Loved our visit here, i had a vegan pizza and my gf had the Lasagna. We both loved our meals. We also loved the decor and the over on show. Everything felt authentic, it did not feel like a chain, it felt like a one off in Italy! Service from Ben was outstanding, asked us if we wanted tap water... More
