This place does great pizzas and great roasts on a Sunday. Would highly recommend for large groups but be warned - no table reservations so get there early if you want to get a good spot.

Popular meeting place for pre gig drinks so very busy. Prompt service. Grabbed some chips and a fab pint of local proper cider and sat outside as a pleasant evening for April. Great comfortable atmosphere and not too far from The Phoenix.

I've been to this pub a couple of times once we arrived at the reasonable hour of 7pm, the next time we wandered in at 10.30pm after finishing up at work. Both times we were met with friendly service, reasonably priced drinks and excellent pizza...More

Pizza more than enough for rwo and such great value. Cider choice good too. Big tip-everyone rushes to order at 8pm so be prepared. But this didn't stop our food arriving 20 mins later. And it was hot! Staff were cheerful and very helpful.

Came here at 6pm on a Friday night as had heard so many good reports of the huge pizzas. Unfortunately they do not serve pizzas until 8pm on a Friday, so we went for the normal menu. Each of the 4 meals we went for...More

This is a atmospheric building with old beams and flag stone floors. You order at the bar, then your food is served to you at table. The lunch menu had enough variety to suit all four of us, one of whom is a non-meat eater....More

Yes, we did and they put our name on the table. Literally.... they wrote our name in chalk on the table top. Quite a funny quirk!
