Sunday lunch today - the pub was fully booked for Father's day, menu improving and becoming much more varied, the white chocolate pud with fresh mini fruit was something to die for. Another excellent day out, well worth the drive from Axminster.

It was so nice to return to the lovely Five Bells and find it so welcoming again! Fantastic food, great service and a really nice atmosphere! Well done to the new owners for getting the balance right again. It's such a wonderful place. Thank you!

Another faultless visit to this charming country pub..... my only regret is that I didn’t order two mains!! My colleagues Lamb dish looked exceptional! Not that my Pork Belly wasn’t but those hassleback potatoes on the Lamb dish and the turnip purée were first class!...More

We live closeby and have visited the Five Bells often over the years but became disenchanted following several changes of management. We were aware that the Five Bells has been purchased by a former Clyst Hydon resident and decided to book a table for supper...More

Another great meal at The Five Bells. Friendly new owner and the meal was amazing I would recommend the beer battered fish and to die for chunky chips! My partner had the venison sausages which he thoroughly enjoyed. We will definitely be eating here again...More
