We popped in for a quick lunch this week. The staff are very efficient and friendly. There is a good choice on the menu to suit all tastes, the food is all fresh and sourced from local suppliers. Our lunch was well cooked with quite large portions!! Will definitely go there again.

This pub is in a great location, there is plenty of parking and appears to be a favourite place for cyclists to stop for refreshments. As we entered we were warmly welcomed and shown to our table, the bar is small but the waitress was happy to serve us drinks. The menu had a good variation and our waitress was... More

Exceptionally tasty and beautifully presented food. Perhaps a bit more expensive than some pubs, but worth it. A lovely ambience inside and out, and a great spot for sitting outside and enjoying the sunshine or dining inside and watching the world cycle past!

We called in for lunch one Sunday. We hadn't booked and it was extremely busy, so we ate in the bar area. The service was very efficient and friendly and the food arrived quickly considering how busy they were. The burger I had was very good; flavoursome, well cooked and very big. My wife had the roast beef which she... More

I love this pub. The wine and alcohol choice are great bar staff great. Ordered fish and chips expensive and very over cooked. Waitress didn't ask if we needed any tartar sauce or if we needed anything. I have eaten here a few times in the past. the last time I ordered a beef baguette. I only had a over... More

We visited again on Easter Sunday and once again it was very busy !. The staff seemed rushed off their feet but seemed to be coping well, many menu items had run out but this was not an issue for us as we just wanted steaks ! We had the ribeye steak with triple cooked chips and they were superb... More

Were taken by our hosts to this very trendy gastro pub - more restaurant than pub. Adjacent to the Exmouth to Exeter foot/cycle path and railway line. Only had drinks as we had supper in the oven but the menu looked tempting and our hosts said the food is good - booking seems essential for weekends.

I have eaten at most of the pubs along the way between Exmouth and Topsham and the Puffing Billy is a firm favourite due to its great location, sunny beer garden and good food. Myself and one of my other friends are vegans and although there wasn't anything vegan on the menu, the staff were extremely helpful at accommodating us... More
