Very friendly staff. Cleaned the table quickly, specially so we could use the one by the wood burner. The roast was good- fab Yorkshire pud (& I can say because I'm from Yorkshire!!) & the standard veg, meat & gravy. Soup & a roll for me which was very good, tasted homemade! Perfect spot for walkers & dogs allowed in... More

We wanted a dog friendly pub. And we found one this one. You take you dog to the restaurant with you for breakfast and evening meal. Great food. Friendly staff

My wife and I attended a family wedding at this pub, who had set aside a small private function room for the occasion. The environment was warm and cosy and the staff were excellent, very polite and attentive. All guests were served with a full roast dinner and it was first class. Our observations of other meals served to other... More

Always busy and understandably so better to book ahead for a nice table in the restaurant. Lots of atmosphere, a diverse and interesting menu, generous well presented portions, and excellent service. Went several times and were never disappointed.

Eight of us (including 4 children from 1.5-12yrs) ate an early supper here. Good quality pub food: fish&chips, curry, burger, veggie lasagne etc. Order at the bar, pleasant staff. Not overly expensive, not overly cheap. Book in season, nearly all tables reserved when we were there last week of Summer hols.

My daughter took me out for supper, we love this place a proper old looking pub , good food and a diverse menu . It was too cold for outside but it is lovely when you can dot outside, also dog friendly .
