Popped in here for a Devonshire Cream Tea. Small cafe with a garden to sit out in weather permitting. Very clean, tables sanitised after each customer. Good choice on the menu, sandwiches, pasties, cakes etc. I had a warm scone, jam, clotted cream and a...pot of tea.....so delicious. Friendly and helpful staff. Well worth a visit.More

We visit Lynton and Lynmouth as often as we can. One of the first stops will always be here. We truly can’t get enough of it. The home baked cakes/ cream teas are heavenly. The lunch menu has plenty of choice and is equally delicious....They’re very dog friendly and have a liver cake for the dogs which goes down a storm with our pooch. An absolute must try if you find yourself in the beautiful lynmouth town.More

Popped in for coffee and ended up having a delicious cream tea. Very welcoming and friendly with a surprise treat for the dog, which was much appreciated by her. There is very little open in the village this time of year so we were more...than happy to find it open. Limited tables inside but, again, enough for winter clientelle. The scones were lovely and warm and good choice of jam. Would highly recommend.More

Thank you for your recommendation, it is indeed very quiet at the moment but we imagine that may all change for Christmas and new year!

We stopped by here for a small light lunch. The cafe was dog friendly which was great. They even had homemade liver cake for dogs which our little doggy loved. Food was nice and tasty. The elderly gentleman that attended to us whilst there was...very pleasant, friendly and welcoming. The wife said the coleslaw that came with my lunch was the best she's ever had, and wanted me to ask for the recipe!! Feel free to email it me! :)More

We are glad you enjoyed your lunch and the service (although it has to be said the elderly gentleman you speak of is super fit and can run rings around us!). The coleslaw is simple, handcut white cabbage, grated carrots, a small amount of thinly...More

The Lynmouth Bay Cafe is the Best Cafe in Devon (I thought that on my last visit), but now it is official. This accolade was awarded at the Food Drink Devon awards just a week before we returned after such a long time. The Cafe...has had a small outside makeover since our last visit with more space in the garden available, yet we chose to sit in the bay window seat inside, of which we know is a popular place. We had just arrived (we learned) after a mini rush of customers and the staff were busily cleaning down the tables in readiness for future custom. It was just an hour before their advertised closing time, yet we were greeted with a smile by Roddy who was such an asset to the Cafe. We ordered their award winning scones, one with Plum Jam, one with Strawberry Jam, both with tea. The tea cups were warmed which is such a lovely touch, as were the scones and they were very big with generous ramekins of Clotted Cream and Jam, much better than other cafes. The scones were so nice so we overindulged and ordered another, each. Aileen, Kathy and Helen were the others there and we could see why this Cafe is successful as it is, great team work, glorious food and such a fabulous venue in Lynmouth. We will not leave it so long till our next visit.More

The scones were very light and fluffy with plenty of ridiculously thick cream! Husband doesn't have a sweet tooth but they had the ideal alternative for him - cheese tea - cheese scone with chunk of cheese and chutney. Highly recommended

Thank you for the lovely review, the cheesy tea is a fab alternative if you are more of the savoury person (next time try the chilli cheesy tea!).

Roddy will be so chuffed getting a mention and he's certainly great at recommending when customers are unsure about what to choose. Thank you.

We were looking for a cafe where we could have a fairly quick meal while enjoying time in Lynmouth while waiting for our tour coach to depart. We stopped at several cafes on the way back but they were either closed or the toilets were...down the road. We had a lovely friendly welcome and thought everyone involved were exceptionally friendly. My husband had the tea cake with coffee option and I had a teacake with Hot chocolate and Marshmallows which was one of the nicest and most delicious I have ever had. I hope we do one day go back to Lynmouth again so we can call in this lovely tea room again,More

A wet rainy day we had a take-away cream tea which was amazing. Took time to warm up scone and beautifully presented. We went back next day and enjoyed coffee & bacon baguettes after our walk.
