Wonderful service throughout the evening. Food exceeded our expectations. Spotlessly clean, attentive, polite staff.......who could ask for more! Will definitely return.

Noticed today and put a review on the new thread for this pub which has reopened with an enhanced food bias and has established a new Yripadvisor thread of reviews under its resurrected trading name of the 'Penguin'.
I've never been to a restaurant and felt so relaxed and had such a good meal. Went on a Tuesday with burger night, absolutely perfectly cooked and can't fault it. Waiting staff were perfect. Can't get over how good this place is. Definitely recommend.

Pub is smart and clean but needs to find its identity. Food simple and tasty as you would expect from a local. Obviously making an effort and wish them well
New team, new menus, great food. Well worth a visit whether breakfast, lunch or dinner. Its not quick service, but good food takes time
