Very old pub near Torquay harbour. Worth a visit for a pint but our food was very poor quality. Typical pub grub type menu. Would not recommend.

A proper pub serving tasty food. All the staff very friendly and helpful. The food was reasonably priced, hot and a decent sized portion. Would definitely visit again.

This is said to be the oldest pub in the area, typically olde world, low ceilings oak beams, serves a great pint and the lunch time menu is really good (starts at 12)

Hi visited this pub in March 2018 as detailed above - but beware as soon as 9pm strikes ... no food orders even with 1 min passed.. to our detriment ..

Food was pretty average and some of the beer was off. Not surprising really as they had a wide selection with not many drinking it so slow moving at best.

Staff couldn't have been nicer which probably went some way to creating the pleasant chatty atmosphere in the bar. Our dogs were genuinely welcomed and offered water on arrival. Food was lovely, good value and service was great. Happy to recommend this pub.

Welcome to Torquay's first and original pub, full of character and charm, serving a lovely pint and good pub grub. A must see for any visitor to the area. Friendly atmosphere and staff.

My husband and dad like an old fashioned pub that sells good beer, and they were both extremely happy here! Staff were pleasant, and drinks were reasonably priced. We went for an early evening drink and it was child friendly. Definitely intend to return before...More
