Every time we visit the area we make a bee line for Rose Cottage, the cream tea is to die for. The ambience of the pianist in the garden and the whole setting is quite idyllic.

We always enjoy our choice of food and drinks at Rose Cottage Tea Rooms. We were very lucky with the weather in October, which adds to the taste of our food eating outside in the very beautiful gardens.

Late September, sun shining, still a super place to visit. Cream tea, freshly cooked scones plentiful jam and cream, excellent service, great value.

Our group of 8 booked a table for 2 hours ahead on the way past as we visited the Country Park. The staff were very helpful and reserved a table then and there. We were not disappointed. The food was fresh and very well presented. I personally tried the fish cakes. They were very nice and the chips were to... More

Lovely, peaceful, tranquil spot for a nice pot of tea in the immaculately kept gardens listening to a man play the piano. Cockington is well worth a visit and Rose Cottage is a must.

We visited this quaint village and decided to visit the tea rooms for a bite to eat! Plenty of seating and the pianist in the bandstand was magical. Baguettes and scones were delicious. Would definitely recommend this place for a relaxing lunch or cream tea. Will be visiting again when next in Torquay!

Location couldn't be more idyllic, piano player is superb, but unfortunately the food consistently lets this place down. Given the location this place should be a Mecca for cream teas but it just does not deliver. The menu is uninspiring, the food is poorly presented and bland. The scones didn't even taste homemade. Shame as it has so much potential.

Lovely tea room set by a stunning old thatched cottage and set in lovely large manicured gardens. Cream tea was superb (but would have preferred fruit scones to plain), scones were huge and there was plenty of jam and thick clotted cream. To cap it all there was a pianist playing in the garden. Lovely experience and good prices too,... More

We visited for lunch whilst in Cockington. The food was OK, what you're really visiting here for is the amazing setting. Eating outside in beautiful, tranquil gardens.
