We were super-keen to get into somewhere of quality in this wonderful part of the country, but with so many customers and such few staff all the restaurants have been fully booked. We chanced our arm with a plea to Paul & team at No7...Fish Bistro and managed to secure the last available table. The menu choice, Food quality & brilliant service was outstanding. Mixed our choices between the standard menu and the daily specials and none of them disappointed! HIGHLY recommend this place.More

Went to this resturaunt after booking two weeks earlier . I wanted a sea food experience and at my cost I got one. We arrived on time an was shown upstairs ( very dark ) to the cocktail lounge for a drink while our. Table...was prepared ? Should have been prepared as it was only opening at 1800 hrs. Anyway after a short while we where taken back down stairs and shown to our table which i refused as it was in a dark corner of the resturaunt, i. Am partly sighted and need wha light i can use anyway we where given window table overlooking a road outside. Harbour view Anyway we ordered our meals i went for the hot King Prawns , and a Lobster . After quite a while my starter came 3 Prawns ?? In a sauce very messy to eat. And with no finger bowls or additional napkins . Very messy ( my wife had curried prawns and scallops asa main she was happy ) At this stage I asked the waiter could my Lobster be shelled as being partly sighted i would have had problems he replied no Problem . It finally arrived on a plate on its own ( their was a side salad and new potatoes ) I stared. At the lobster in disbelief how could you warrant £66.00 for this. I’m not mean but seeing this in rent of me was an embarrassment. Anyway i ate it nothing special i enjoyed the salad and potatoes more I just cannot understand how you can justify those pricesMore

Just had THE MOST amazing lunch here !!! We sat in the upstairs wine bar , the manager up there was delightfully friendly and helpful , nothing was too much trouble , a real credit to the business and perfect for the forward facing role...! The ambience in the wine bar was casual and laid back with good decor and a good sound track . The food was OUT OF THIS WORLD ! There was so much to choose from , we really were spolied for choice (photos attached) it was all to an amazing standard fresh and well seasoned . I reccomend the cheese board , wonderful choice of local cheeses ! I can't believe we have never come across this place before , I have taken some business cards and I will be reccomending that our friends and family all visit .. If you come to Torquay , this is a must . Well done to this resturant , was reassured by the continuation of restrictions and staff were all wearing there masks . Thank you for the most wonderful lunch , and pay rise for the man upstairs , he deserves it !More

Booked with Paul, manager at this restaurant ( I presume he’s the owner / manager ). Anyway , I got a text less than an hour before the scheduled appointment stating that the restaurant was closed due to an out break of Covid. We didn’t...see the text as we were traveling to the location. When we arrived , we were met by a young girl at the door, and all she said was “we are closed”. When asked for a reason she referred me to the manager Paul who advised us he was awaiting advice from public health England. We are 17 months into the pandemic, surely there should have been a clear contingency plan in place by now. The restaurant should have at least contacted people by phone especially those of us that were arriving imminently !! 😳More

Wide choice of fish + other options too and we enjoyed a very good meal. Service was a little slow (albeit I think it is in many places atm with staffing challenges post Brexit) and the Head of front of house was perhaps a little...too efficient as it felt like he was rushing us through our order. Nevertheless, I recommend Number 7 if you're visiting Torquay.More

We tried, and failed, then we were able to get a table in the Wine Bar, which has the best views compared to the downstairs eatery. Go for the flights of wine and take note of the Bar Manager who runs upstairs. great chap and...very knowledgeable. Food is sublime. Book well in advance, as they didn't have a thing until October, but they do get cancellations. I must stop pushing people off cliffs just to eat and experience a great place....More

We visited No 7 whilst on a mini break to Torquay. We were after a really nice fish restaurant and that’s what No 7 is . We booked pre drinks in the wine bar we had a window table , with great views of Marina.... When our table was ready for dinner we were taken down and seated . The menu is extensive, so much choice it was hard to decide. All the food we had was fabulous. Service was great . It’s a real delight.More

The food was good but ruined by the service. The waiters were coughing and spluttering and choking up phlegm in the back. Really quite disgusting. The atmosphere was just not there. Not sure why this has a michelin plate.

We started the evening in the upstairs wine bar with a red wine flight. The member of staff was very knowledgeable about wine and was happy to spend time with us providing information on each of the wines chosen. We then went to the bistro...and enjoyed an excellent meal. The staff were efficient, courteous, knowledgeable and very friendly. The food was cooked to perfection. In my opinion, the best restaurant in Torquay.More
