After researching a few places to eat we were passing Wetherspoons and read the menu, went in, had prompt service for two hearty meals with bargain Strongbow and Guinness pints as part of the price. Good to see locals just having a drink.

Popped in for a quick bite to eat. From ordering to food on table was less than 20 minutes! Andrew our waiter was really funny and when I pointed out a small problem with my meal he apologised and offered us a free drink!

I'm quite a fan of the Wetherspoon pubs as they offer excellent, real ale at very competitive prices prices and the food is generally good value too. However, this one was not good - the place was very unappealing in a grotty part of town...More

I have friends who like this pub so I've been there several times this year. The food is OK but I must say it's boring - basically fried, curried or steaks and chicken. I think most of it comes in ready to be reheated except...More

The exterior is quite smart. Inside is dark, dirty and dingy. The place is seriously understaffed, although they were trying very hard they just couldn't cope. Overheard from behind the bar "the kitchen is in chaos" We ordered Steak and Kidney pudding . It should...More

My pint of abbot ale didn't taste or smell quite right to me and the manager changed it for me without a problem. She was really pleasant too. I had sirloin steak with pepper sauce and it was cooked to medium rare perfectly. My husband...More

I went here on a Saturday with my boyfriend because we haven't been for a while due to work and college. Usually we are treated very nice and we really enjoy coming here, however, that day it wasn't the case. I ordered food as usual...More

Went to Wetherspoons for food a couple of times whilst on holidays here. Well worth a visit for the beer and food. Clean Pub and the food is very reasonable with specials on the weekdays. Service was good with polite staff.
