I did a divert here to escape the rain en route and was glad I did, a lovely Inn, comfortable, warm. I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich with salad and chips and then a yummy and filling rhubarb crumble and custard. Service was pleasant and delivered quickly, and value for money over all, I would return another time 😊

Had Sunday dinner here today with the family. Lovely atmosphere as we came in, so welcoming. The table we were sat at was by the door and a little chilly but they moved us with no hassle and nothing was too much trouble. They offered a nice menu or carvery option. I am sometimes a little reluctant to try new... More

I ordered the Hot Pot. I wasn't expecting it to have melted cheese in it. I was expecting the potato slices to have been peeled before being inserted into the mix. The whole dish was a VERY HOT POT. Once it had cooled and I had removed the cheese and potato skins, the hot pot was quite nice. If there... More

Dropped in for a quick bite at lunchtime and enjoyed the food and drink. A very pleasant front of house member of staff served the drinks and took and served food orders efficiently. We had two types of filled baguettes, both enjoyed them and thought the small helping of salad and handful of chips that accompanied them were just right... More

This is a great pub, serving excellent cask ale and a good range of food. It is well decorated with historiclal artifacts and is very comfortable.

Delicious food... A cut above the usual lunch stop. We arrived, a group of 8 walkers, hot, thirsty and ready for the meals we had pre ordered before setting off on our walk (the pub had opened at 10.00 a.m. in order to allow us to order etc). The food was delicious, surroundings and ambience great (we even had linen... More

Always used to be a very welcoming establishment... but appears previous managers and staff are no more? Pub empty, no 'personal' touch.. ashame as previously having entered being a local or not a "local" reception was always given... being the only pub in village its ashame "owners" want to mess with something that does or could work... place with potential...
