As if transported in time back to a 70/80s pub. Filled with families of people enjoying pub food in very local feel surrounds. No care in the world for decoration which is reminiscent of the nags head circa 1980. A truly wonderful evening in an...More

Visiting the area on business and I was recommended to this place. I walked in, the place got noticeably a bit quieter and I few heads turned in my direction. I couldn't easily see anywhere to sit/hide. It wasn't big enough to lose yourself, there...More

Ate at the Blue Raddle this weekend and it was a very welcome haven out of the torrential rain. Food, atmosphere, price was excellent and the proprietors were very friendly and helpful. Would recommend this to anyone wishing to visit a nice pub/restaurant.

Had some respite from a hot day with a cold beer and nice lunch here. Fish pie and vegie pie both very good, not cheap but not overly expensive. Feel the history of this place and certainly the locals at the bar are evidence it...More

Called in for something to eat. After trying to get staff to acknowledge us standing behind the locals that are sat at the barn, we eventually got served. Found a table, read the menu on the wall then went to the bar again to order...More

If you like real ale and people watching you will be at home here. A wall chart explains what Raddling is for those who are not from the deepest country background. The real ales are mainly local to the area and well kept.

Good food and excellent selection of real ales for the enthusiast. Very few pubs serve real ales well, this one does. Always lots of drinkers with views on what makes a good beer.

Very, friendly service, traditional, slightly old fashioned menu, meat and 2 veg, but all fresh and well cooked. Cash only, no cards. Meals £10 to £12, beer £3.40 per pint. No London Pride, too expensive for the locals according to the landlady

I met up with the only ex school friend I get to see (we met over sixty years ago) and together with our wives we had another wonderful meal in the Blue Raddle. We go there about four times a year and have never been...More

If you're after something a little quirky but great fun then you won't be disappointed with The Blue Raddle. The Raddle is an intimate community pub frequented by local characters, famous for the ales and Landlady concocted meals on offer. The wine and other beverage selection isn't bad either! As if a visit to The Raddle isn't entertaining enough there are regular folk and Irish style music nights as well as a wacky charity meat draw every Friday evening and a quiz featuring quizmaster The Creative Accountant at the turn of every fiscal quarter. The Raddle is the home of 'laughter on tap'!
