Went to the Bull and Boat on 19th May 2017 for my 53rd birthday. I have been to the Bull and Boat on two previous occasions when visiting Swanage, but this will be my last visit as the food was not up to standard. I booked a few days earlier and informed them that one of my party was gluten... More

Friendly staff, Chantelle was lovely, but the place needs a guiding hand, and general motivation. The melted Brie starter was great, as were my pink giant prawns but my husband was disappointed not to be able to have a burger, as they had sold out!, although his pasta dish was very nice. Could be great, with a good manager.

In Swanage for the weekend and walked past this bar-restaurant in the day time. Its right on the seafront and looks lovely. Can't believe I didn't check out the review before deciding to eat there. We called up Saturday afternoon and booked for two for Saturday evening. The fact we could choose when we ate and have a table with... More

We've not been here for a couple of years as gave up because the service was appalling, but we gave it a go on Easter Saturday evening. We had tried to get into 4 other places, all fully booked, this wasn't. In fact when we arrived it was nearly empty, it filled up but was never anywhere near full. So,... More

Returning once again for our yearly party here and we were not disappointed. The food was delicious as always and the service was great. Our waitress (Chantelle) was very attentive and made our evening enjoyable. Already looking forward to next year!

Mixed reviews for this place so was pleased overall with the experience. Sat outside, overlooking the water on a sunny day which was great. Ordered fish and chips, the fish was fresh and tasty. Batter a little soft for my liking. I don't like the using the sachets of condiments they have available here, made it feel like a chip... More

The worst bacon sandwich I have ever eaten eventually turned up, processed bread and microwaved bacon for nearly £5. This place should be closed down.

We ate here last week as a family, very poor service and unhelpful staff with no atmosphere and very bland food.

Wen we asked to see the menu before agreeing to a table the waitress flick a menu at us across the bar and walked off - should have left then. Staff showed very little interest when serving. We asked and were told the chilli had a little kick, well it had absolutely no kick, was watery and full of cheese.... More
