We went here because it was my friends 21st. The food was incredible! The service was even better! Made us feel so welcome even as a group of 15! Made my friend's 21st even more special. Recommend for a group of any size!

My daugter and i got a table by chance on Friday night. Owner and staff were so friendly and accommodating. Food was delicious and the byob option made it so affordable too. Will definitely return here.

Great meal, friendly service and Byob. Took my Mum and Dad out for lunch on Saturday. They are foodies and they enjoyed the range of food. We had the mixed starter for 2 between the 4 of us on their recommendation and it was plenty. Will be going back in a couple of weeks

Booked a table for eight on a Saturday evening. Despite it being very busy, the service and above all, the food was fresh, carefully spiced and delicious although that probably explains its popularity! Special mention for the Merguez and the owner who was patient and had a great sense of humour despite a slightly drunken end of evening. BRAVO!!

Looking very unassuming from the outside, we found this place in the top 20 of TripAdvisor for the purposes of Sunday lunch. Interesting to note that a lot of the top 20 is actually closed on Sunday or serves brunch only as opposed to the regular menu (like the Set on Regency Square). It was therefore refreshing to see this... More

We always go here when we want to eat Middle Eastern food. The Meze as a starter is huge so if there are four people one for 2 is perfect. The grilled meats are great as is the service. It is a BYO which also helps it being very reasonably priced especially for a large party.

A Lebanese and Persian restaurant on Brightons busy Western Road, Taste of Sahara gives seaside dwellers a taste of the exotic at a very reasonable price. With its dcor created with care to reflect the atypical Middle East of story books and holiday brochures all pierced tin lanterns, heavy wood and rich colours Taste of Sahara has a look which reflects the diverse flavours of its immensely flavourful menu. From kebabs to tagines, all ones Middle Eastern favourites are offered by the Sahara kitchen, along with some lesser known dishes that will tempt the more adventurous diner. In particular, the restaurants mezzes prove popular, the sharing concept somehow suited to this kind of cuisine, particularly when accompanied by the BYO policy.
