We had an excellent meal on a busy Saturday evening and the restaurant was full. The service and the waiting times were perfectly respectable. I asked for recommendations and received excellent suggestions for both my starter and the main from the very friendly and effusive...More

We went to Taste of Sahara for an evening meal. We were greeted into a friendly atmosphere and after being given a table where we were quite cramped we were moved to much nicer table without having to ask! The service was overall very attentive,...More

A great recommendation by TripAdvisor, off of the normal tourist drag of the Lanes; this is a gem. Three starters, four main courses, and three drinks came to just over £80. The food was very tasty with great flavours, atmosphere was warm and inviting. And...More

Exceptionally good authentic food, the lamb tagine was delicious, best I've had since Marrakech. Take your own alcohol which makes it very good value. Staff are friendly and efficient.

The food was great and the owner Sabri was very flexible as I had to book for a party of 10. The inside of the restaurant is quaint and welcoming. The veggie mezze is amazing!

I wanted somewhere for a group of us to eat together. Sahara worked out well. Good food and service and we were seated at the back in a booth decorated in Arabic (?) style, which added to the atmosphere. Having BYOB kept costs down. Lots...More

Myself and my family visited the restaurant last Saturday and had a fabulous evening. Lovely mix of starters and the sea bream main course was superb. Even though it was getting late when we finished our meal, they still accommodated us with a shisha in...More

A Lebanese and Persian restaurant on Brightons busy Western Road, Taste of Sahara gives seaside dwellers a taste of the exotic at a very reasonable price. With its dcor created with care to reflect the atypical Middle East of story books and holiday brochures all pierced tin lanterns, heavy wood and rich colours Taste of Sahara has a look which reflects the diverse flavours of its immensely flavourful menu. From kebabs to tagines, all ones Middle Eastern favourites are offered by the Sahara kitchen, along with some lesser known dishes that will tempt the more adventurous diner. In particular, the restaurants mezzes prove popular, the sharing concept somehow suited to this kind of cuisine, particularly when accompanied by the BYO policy.
