Upon my first visit a few months ago I was kindly greeted by a lovely blonde lady called ‘Julie’. I explained I never knew this place existed and she gave me a short brief of how long its been here. She suggested I look through...the café to the outside area which I was very grateful for the views are amazing. Her genuine warmth and customer care was great. I had a coffee with some delicious cake and soaked in the sun and views. Julie was great as she noticed I was trying to take a picture of me with the view and she kindly offered to take some of me on my phone which I was over the moon with. She seemed genuinely interested and caring which is a breath of fresh air as I didn’t have the best experience downstairs in the main restaurant a few days earlier. I can happily say I have now visited the café over a dozen times and am a great advocate for it as it still seems to be quiet a hidden gem where not many people are aware of the fantastic atmosphere and customer service. Look forward to my next visit. 10/10More

Lovely food right on the beach! Just a short walk from The Grand where we were staying. Would definitely come for lunch again next time we are in Brighton.

Me and my husband travel every once a week from London to here to taste the delicious coffee's and enjoy the warm welcoming atmosphere and the lovely view,we're always served by a lovely lady named Julie she always makes sure that our visit is 100%...perfect even when the weather is not so nice to us we still enjoy our time there, wouldn't go anywhere else, i don't usually write reviews but i felt like this lovely lady deserves some appreciation for all of her hard work and kindness,as long as she's there we'll be coming every week!More

Excellent view of the west pier from the deckchairs on the terrace, and delicious cake. We ordered a mocha and a latte and couldn't tell the difference between the two which was quite odd, but worth going to sit and people watch from the terrace...in a sunny spot which was sheltered from the wind.More

Don’t bother if you want to eat breakfast before lunch. We had to ask for service and then waited well over half an hour and still no coffee and no explanation. The food was greasy and the bread dry and greasy. Yuk. The manager wasn’t...particularly helpful and we ended up leaving. No coffee. No food. Had a wonderful coffee over the road in a seafood restaurant. They were lovely and couldn’t be nicer.More

We escaped from the blustery rain into this immaculate cafe for good value hot drinks. Vasco made us feel at home. Everywhere was clean and socially distanced, yet still felt cosy with lovely fresh flowers.

Fab views. Nice decor. Cream tea for 4 £24, scones dry and hard. Would have been ok with price if scones had been soft and fresh. Won't be returning.

Two hot chocolates from a push button vending machine £6. You make your own mind up about that one. The place is tired and a bit shabby. The sofas were dirty. The music was so loud. We asked if it could be turned down just...enough for us to hold a conversation the lady obliged by dialling it down at least 1 notch. Take away cups for inside with category 6 plastic lids. We won't be making another trip there are more relaxing places on a Sunday.More

We visited Sunday for a quick drink before we went home. Ordered some drinks and a sausage roll at the counter with a lady who sounded like she had far better things to be doing, as she moaned about other members of staff while barking...orders at them. When I asked for the sausage roll she took a large intake of breath and said "I can ask" like she was doing me some sort of favour. We sat and enjoyed our drinks in the sun while the same lady fiddled and adjusted a sun umbrella behind where my wife was sitting, some moments later the unbrella fell in the breeze onto my wife catching her across the face and head and spilling her drink down her. At this point, we had at this been told there were no sausage rolls so they would serve us 3 small pies instead but these still hadn't arrived by the time I went back into the bar to tell the staff the umbrella had struck my wife and they need to remove it. they refunded the money and bagged up the pies. I can safely say I will not be going back and a warning to others the umbrella have hardly any weight to the base and with the strong gusts along the coast they are not safe. AVOID!More

Dropped in for a coffee and sandwich. Woman serving had a couldn't care less attitude. Coffee took ages. Sandwich I had to chase up several times. After 30 minutes the wrong sandwich came so I then had to wait for the right one. The sandwich...was in a packet! Awful service all round.More

If ur lucky they might be able to bag some up for you and charge you for a couple of teas worth, as long as you keep it in a airtight container
