Meeting up with family for Sunday lunch, lovely bag full of goodies given to the children, being a gold card member we had free drinks and tasters. Food was fab, lovely meat plank and good vegetarian choices.

We went to this restaurant with our three kids. Our youngest ordered from the kid's menu which was free. The food was really good, but the portions were quite small. The service was fine and the restaurant was really cozy.

A group of 6 of us came for my dads birthday. Unfortunately we were sat at a table in line of the door so a cold breeze would come through to the table any time someone entered the restaurant. That is only a minor thing...More

We had a great waiting who's name I didn't catch, food was tasty and diet take too long, this was especially impressive as we went on Christmas eve and it was busy

I had the meatballs and honestly all I could taste was whatever spice they put in the meat, was like chewing on a cardamom seed. The staff were rude and not at all friendly and to top it all off they whacked a £20 odd...More

Fast service, nicely presented and tasty food. Fabulous brownies for Pudd! Even better with the Groupon deal.

I like coming here as the food is good quality for an Italian and the atmosphere is nice. They are always accommodating of my pram and baby too. I find the portion sizes very small for a restaurant these days. I suppose we have all...More

The food we had was good, had shared meat platter, variety of meats and cheese. Mains seafood linguine was tasty. Lamb Pappardelle was amazing, lots of flavour and plenty of pasta. Our server was nice and friendly. The only downside to my evening was the...More

Visited as a small family group, grand parents, parent and granddaughters for an early evening meal. Having dined there quite a few times over recent years, we were very disappointed. The place feels tired, the menu is somewhat restricted, service was slow and reluctant and...More

On a rare day out to Brighton, we thought we would treat ourselves to meal somewhere slightly better than the rest. This was not the case, we sat at a table for five minutes before anyone even noticed we had been sat there. We were...More

Question seems a little abrasive - see my other reviews. Praise given by me far outweighs negative comments. I have not, nor will go back. 3 of the 4 of us had a good meal but it was the obvious and complete lack of... More

Description
JAMIE'S ITALIAN BRIGHTON A partnership between Jamie Oliver and his Italian mentor, chef Gennaro Contaldo, Jamie's Italian has won thousands of fans for its delicious and affordable food since launching their first restaurant in Oxford in May 2008. The Jamie's Italian menu is based on dishes you'd find people eating all over Italy, made with care but delivered without fuss. The family-friendly restaurants are all about serving up rustic, Italian food made using the best possible ingredients, plus fresh pasta that's made on-site every day, and an award-winning children's menu, too. The lovely Brighton restaurant is located on Black Lion Street, a stone's throw from the seafront, nestled within Brighton's famous Lanes. The rooftop terrace is a great spot to enjoy a drink and a bowl of our freshly made pasta or a burger after a trip to the beach, or relax in one of the cosy booths and watch the chefs at work in their beautiful open kitchen. There's something for everyone here, whatever the occasion - a quick bite with friends or a big family dinner - come in and soak up the atmosphere while you tuck into some delicious Italian food.
