Staff were lovely and did not rush us, food was great too and value for money. Did not seem rushed or stressed despite it being very busy! :)

This restaurant was ok, but nothing special. There was hardly anything gluten free on the menu for one of our group. Tables in restaurant were a little too close together. Presentation of food generally lacked finesse - for example, food was brought to the table...More

Staff great, Very attentive. Only allow 90 mins per table booking though and you feel a little rushed. Food was ok, nothing special and portions were small. Not great value for money unfortunately.

I used to visit this restaurant quite a bit when it first opened. Returned today and the portions are very small - burger looked like something from a kids menu! My daughter had a pizza which tasted of bread and little else ! With so...More

An enjoyable evening meal, pleasant surroundings, and friendly staff. A good menu selection and a good range of drinks. We were welcomed on arrival and staff were attentive throughout the evening, certainly knowledgeable about the food that was on offer. This establishment left a great...More

Expected a lot more from this restaurant as it’s a Jamie Oliver brand. Went as we had been given a dining card as a gift and this was one of the chains we could eat at. Service was good but the food didn’t live up...More

It's a shame to have to write this as I have had many a good evening at Jamie's Brighton. But this particular visit was absolutely not up to standard and has without doubt put me off returning any time soon. I showed my waitress an...More

Question seems a little abrasive - see my other reviews. Praise given by me far outweighs negative comments. I have not, nor will go back. 3 of the 4 of us had a good meal but it was the obvious and complete lack of... More

Description
JAMIE'S ITALIAN BRIGHTON A partnership between Jamie Oliver and his Italian mentor, chef Gennaro Contaldo, Jamie's Italian has won thousands of fans for its delicious and affordable food since launching their first restaurant in Oxford in May 2008. The Jamie's Italian menu is based on dishes you'd find people eating all over Italy, made with care but delivered without fuss. The family-friendly restaurants are all about serving up rustic, Italian food made using the best possible ingredients, plus fresh pasta that's made on-site every day, and an award-winning children's menu, too. The lovely Brighton restaurant is located on Black Lion Street, a stone's throw from the seafront, nestled within Brighton's famous Lanes. The rooftop terrace is a great spot to enjoy a drink and a bowl of our freshly made pasta or a burger after a trip to the beach, or relax in one of the cosy booths and watch the chefs at work in their beautiful open kitchen. There's something for everyone here, whatever the occasion - a quick bite with friends or a big family dinner - come in and soak up the atmosphere while you tuck into some delicious Italian food.
