We celebrated our Valentine's evening here. Candles lit on our table, charming and attentive service, and delicious vegetarian food made a perfect evening for us. We brought our own bottle and the menu is not expensive. The veggie pizza was delicious and the chef's salad is one he can be proud of. It really is a place to treasure, a... More

We found this place in the lanes one lunch time and have since been back in the evenings with the kids. It's small but with a nice atmosphere and great service. The pizzas are good as is the pasta and salads. Not sure if the pizza base is still homemade but was nice anyway. Also with byo on wine it... More

Recommended by staff and customers in the The Evening Star pub. What a find. The menu was good, food great, customer service fabulous. Very relaxed and easy atmosphere. Decent wine and good coffee. Generous portions and altogether a lovely experience and great value for money.

Me and my partner came here for breakfast at around lunchtime as it is served 9-4. I had a salmon breakfast which was fantastic and my other half had the full English. The gentleman that was downstairs serving everyone was fantastic, he was able to change some things off the full English breakfast for my partner and remembered our order... More

Was so disappointing as a regular customer to find that the £3.50 takeaway pizza offer had ended. We come here all of the time and tonight found that the price had moved to £4.95, nearly a 50% increase on normal RRP. When I asked the waiter, we were told he would give us a special discount as a one off... More

Let's face it, North Laine isn't exactly short of places to eat. You can't throw an artisan baked croissant without hitting a specialist coffee shop or (cliché alert) bloke with a huge beard serving up homemade falafels to a long queue. Which means that a very traditional Italian place is so retro round here, it's sort of trendy again. I... More

Good traditional food, cooked simply but well. Pleasant house wine. Our waiter was very helpful and friendly, and the bill was certainly reasonable. Not a special occasions place, but the sort of local restaurant that you want to go to often.

We ate here twice during our stay in Brighton. Its a lovely small Italian restaurant which even allows you to bring your own wine. The first night they made me a taylor made salad and I had the chicken on the next visit. Cannot recommend enough. Just one word of warning that they already take 10% service charge but it... More
