We popped into The Paris House with the intention of a quiet beer on a Saturday afternoon! However, Brighton rarely disappoints. On this occasion a Jazz trio were just about to start-up, so we stayed a while longer than planned (3 hours) and people watched whilst listening to great music. It was that eclectic mix of ages and looks, that... More

Just popped in, last minute and looking for food on a Sunday night and were treated as if we had booked, good food and good hospitality. It's just a shame we missed the live jazz

Great place for a decent bottle of wine in convivial surroundings. Recommend Hospitlet wine. both white and red. Good bar snacks, cocktails, and sometimes music too can be too noisy.

There is always great Saturday afternoon jazz at the Paris House, but now and then you can have a really wonderful afternoon. The food is good the house wine is excellent and Tina makes sure the service is on the ball with friendly helpful staff. Great music great atmosphere why go anywhere else?

Paris House itself is very friendly place for drinks and small food. But what I particularly like about this place is regular jazz on each Saturday afternoon! It's definitively children friendly, musicians are always very good, mostly playing sort of ''gypsy jazz''. Definitively coming back!

French themed pub with mellow live music on Sunday eves and some other times with a mixed clientele- rare these days and a relaxed place to hang out - a nice change from some of the noisier younger pubs along Western Road. Basic food which is fine for the price

I was there with some friends including an 8 year old last weekend. We ordered a round of drinks with some snacks only for the dreadful barman to come storming out asking us to leave because of the youngster - he said he had told us several times we'd been given an half an hour to leave - no one... Only went in for a few drinks following a meal further along the road. Nice quirky place, good staff, well stocked bar. Loved the selection of reggae tracks the afternoon dj was playing. Will be visiting again very soon to assess what it's like for evening drinks.

I ordered a croque-monsieur and was served a plain toasted ham and cheese sandwich - no bechamel. They shouldn't call it a croque-monsieur. My partner had a coq au vin which felt like it had been micro-waved a few times. It gives the French a bad name.

Called in on a Saturday afternoon on way back to Winchester and had the thickest broccoli and stilton soup ever. Really good tasting. Three real ales on as well. Brilliant. A shame we couldn't stay for the live music due at 4.00pm. Next time??
