This pub used to be a must visit in Brighton. As competition has developed it now seems even smaller and the choice not the best in town. It is certainly a pleasant and handy place to wait for a train ...More

We are sorry that you were disappointed with your visit. We try and keep a variety of British and European breweries on the bar and on the day you reviewed us we had Omnipollo, Northern Monk, Vibrant Forest, Red Willow etc to name just four....More

Always first and last stop whenever we go to Brighton. Right by the station and amazing range of beers. Great service, nice little pub, always full of nice people and characters. Pub heaven!

AVOID AT ALL COSTS Expensive - £4.90 for a pint of lager. Furniture - about as old as the pub, and just as uncomfortable. Short measures - had to ask the barmaid to fill a pint glass up. Hostile bar staff - The barmaid that...More

Great selection of ales on the hand pump in a nice traditional atmosphere less than 5 minutes from the station

Small but quite well set out, right around the corner from the station. Good range of beers on offer. Limited space to do anything internally so quite a square room - presumably gets busy for a pub of this size.

This place is not the obvious choice for the casual visitor. And this is great news for those who know it because this means it's rarely absolutely rammed like some of the other pubs round here. Great real ale and ciders. Children banned at all...More

I love this pub, always great Dark Star Ales on tap. The thing that stops it getting 5 stars is the price of the guest ales. £6.20 for a bottle of Timmermans when it is £3 elsewhere? Also other guest pimp ales over priced. Come...More

Nice little pub near the station, birthplace of Dark Star Brewery, and still serving their wares. Was a little sad that the Hophead was off the night I visited.
