Pretentious, snob and no class. Bland atmosphere with even blander decor. Rather pricey, I would really avoid it as a romantic outing, it's not.

Dear RoquetQueen, We're sorry that your visit here was not up to your expectations. We are primarily a "boozer" community pub with an authentic selection of home-made French & English pub fare adapted for the boozer atmosphere. Our prices are lower than all other pubs around seven-dials. I hope you find the romantic venue you're looking for. With regards, The... More

My Brighton friends took me to this fantastic pub. The atmosphere is great. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. The bloody Mary I had was perfect. The food is delicious and the menu is varied. Would recommend it for a good night out.

I've never eaten here but I go here fairly often with friends to have drinks. There is a lively atmosphere but it's never too busy that you can't have a conversation. Staff are what make the place, absolutely lovely people.

Lovely pub with friendly staff. Went there on a Sunday and got the Raclette. They just kept bringing out food! Absolutely fantastic, with authentic French produce. I could barely move afterwards. A fantastic alternative to a Sunday roast.

Visited last night and had a lovely meal. The owner/chef came to our table to discuss ingredients and effectively produced a bespoke meal for my daughter. Perfectly charming and dog friendly.

We politely queried why they charged 80p for carbonated water with a vodka. The lady behind the counter obviously hasn't done a courtesy course! When asked why the cost she came to the table afterwards and slammed down a receipt, implying that we had questioned her integrity. Shame, but we won't be using this pub again.

Great service, and the food looks and smells wonderful. However when I decided to pay a visit it was Poker night, and they seemed to forget that other people were in the pub. Lighting fags in the pub to these guys was the norm. Then they all smoked outside the entrance of the pub, not great if you hate smoke.... More

The owners need to stop the patrons from smoking in the door way, there is nothing so off putting when you are trying to eat and the smell of smoke is spoiling your meal.

Excellent place, very friendly and accomodating staff. Nice decor and a cool laid back atmosphere. Popular with locals and passers-by/tourists. Good selection of drink and grub and reasonably priced. The music varies between funk, soul, pop, hippity hippity hop, jazz and dance. Well worth popping in

I used to visit Foggs regularly and stopped going about a year ago, because the landlady was so unwelcoming. If you were her friends you were okay. The mens toilets always smelt of stale urine. The beer was overpriced £5.25 for a Kronenbourg what a rip off. Now the new owners are in and the atmosphere has really changed. The... More
