Unique atmosphere, locals of all ages, shapes and sizes: great beer. What more could you want? Well try the trip down memory lane looking at all the old tins (from tobacco to cough drops!). Great fun and a nice size.

We visit this pub every time we're in Brighton. The atmosphere is great. The clientele are all ages. Dogs can come in with their owners. There are tins on the walls for you to put little notes and find them when you're next there. The food is fab and well priced. Staff are lovely. You could literally spend all day... More

We lunched on Barnsley chop with an amazing tomato and mint salsa, and we shared a cheeseboard. It was the best food we have ever eaten in a pub. The place could do with a facelift but the food, ambiance and selection of beers made it super busy with locals on a Friday lunchtime.

Has to go to Brighton for work and we were looking for somewhere traditional to stop off and have a drink and something to eat. Stumbled across it through a cute alley way. Customers appeared to be regulars which can be a little daunting and uncomfortable at times but we were made feel so welcome. Great choice from the menu... More

Called in for a pint whilst shopping - really good pub, unspoilt but the modern world. Well kept beer and plenty of choice of ales. Great service and atmosphere. Didn't eat - but probably should have done Would recommend & go again.

As well as the superb atmosphere and ales, I'd just like to praise possibly the sandwich I've ever tasted!...I think it was the Reuben (Pastrami, Swiss cheese, sauerkraut, mustard, & gherkins on brown)...I've had a few Reubens in my time including all over America & this is the best I've had....& quite filling!...Sandwiches only served until 7 pm, beware. In... More

We visited here on a fairly busy Saturday afternoon. We ordered a number of snacks of which the quality was good. It did however take a long time to come (Around 1 hour) and one of the dishes was forgotten. However it was no problem really as a really relaxed atmosphere and we were in no rush. It helps when...
