Visited Terre Terre for a family member's birthday for afternoon tea. The afternoon tea itself was delicious but very overpriced for the amount you get. Due to this, we ended up sharing two between four people. The person that served us acted off with us and made us feel uncomfortable, so overall an average rating and a little disappointed

Having committed the crime of leaving it 5 years since our last visit, we were delighted to find no drop in the very high standards of food, service and general ambience. The food is a delight, the inventiveness and imagination of the chefs producing a series of dishes that explode on to the palate with swoons of pleasure. I have... More

Lovely food and superb presentation. The atmosphere was relaxed and comfortable, whilst still feeling like a place you could come for a special occasion. I would have happily paid £20 more for the quality of food that was served. My only criticism would be that service was very slow, but free nibbles were offered to make up for this.

We had a lovely meal on Saturday lunch time. I had the Better Batter and it was amazing. The vodka cherry tomatoes were so good but everything was outstanding. I'd recommend it even if you are not vegetarian; it is an experience! Don't let the complex explanations on the menu put you off, the staff are super friendly and will... More

Lovely service, amazingly delicious food that looks like a work of art on your plate. Such a treat to be able to look at the entire menu, knowing I can eat anything on it. The souffle was to die for. My carnivorous husband said if all veggie food was like this he could quite easily convert.

My only other vegetarian friend was visiting from Bristol and I was very excited to take her to Terre a Terre, Brighton's vegetarian restaurant jem. We had the sharing platter which offers a perfect selection of dishes across the menu. We also ordered the smokey scrunch chips with avocado lime hash which where very tasty. Another Terre a Terre convert!

I can't recommend enough. The food is pure joy, blue cheese suffle and numerous things that tasted beautiful (but I've no idea what they were!). As a vegetarian restaurant, any meat eater would be happy to eat here and not miss meat during the meal.

Description
Brighton's critically acclaimed Terre a Terre is a vegetarian restaurant that will have even the most ardent carnivore waxing lyrical. Situated close to the sea-front. The decor is chic and stylish, using wooden floors and furniture to contrast with vibrant colours. But here the food is the centrepiece: dhal basmati buns with coconut curry leaf chatni, better Batter and Lemony Yemeni Relish and Thai aubergine jungle curry are just a few of the exotic and imaginative dishes you can find here. To complement the food, a large selection of organic beers, ciders and wines are available. A three course meal here costs an average of £30 per person. A refreshing take on vegetarian cuisine.
