Table of 11 on a Tuesday night. We had to give a £5 deposit on booking per head. The staff were kind and attentive. the food is was exceptionally good, in particular the chicken & Ham roulade and the Ribeye steaks. delicious.

I went here with a group of friends on Saturday night. Pre-ordered from the group menu which had a great range of dishes and for a great price too. Fabulous food, fabulous service, friendly and polite staff. Cannot fault this place on any level. If...More

I had the privaledge of finding this tucked away restaurant while visiting Brighton. The menu was extensive and looked fabulous on other peoples plates so I thought I would try it. I decided to have the Beer Battered fish with hand cut chips for a...More

The menu here is varied with lots to choose from. The service was great, very friendly. We all chose different starters- Moules Mariners, a pigeon starter, garlic focacia and duck liver pate. All were very tasty. The second course two of us went for the...More

Visited for dinner the evening after my daughter's wedding with a group of family and friends. We did pre-book but it wasn't too busy. The staff were lovely and very welcoming and the food was excellent (I had the seabass). We will be back on...More

We had a delicious lunch here, we didn't book a table but would recommend you do, they let us have a seat inside until an outside table became available. We had garlic bread to share as a starter which was cooked just right & we...More

Food was excellent, service was friendly, if a little bit disorganised. Had the ham hock and rib-eye steak, my wife had the fish main-all very good, nice bottle of Pinot noir and lovely relaxed surroundings.

Went here last night and was highly disappointed. Greeted by a miserable looking waiter who didn't even walk us to our table just told us to head upstairs. We were given 2 menus for 6 of us. We waited 15 minutes before anyone bothered asking...More

Enjoyed the special menu inside the restaurant and had a lovely evening. Good staff, service at a speed that doesn't make you feel rushed and most importantly really good food! Steak and the mussels are both recommended.

Hello, The restaurant makes no claims to that and if they did I imagine they would advertise it. I suggest you contact Restaurants Brighton for more information. Have a nice day

Description
Nestled amongst Brightons famous Lanes, filled with bohemian cafes and boutiques, is The House Restaurant a favourite hang-out for Brighton's foodies. Located only minutes away from the seaside and the Royal Pavilion, The House Restaurant is a cosy establishment spread over two floors in a converted Victorian house decorated with a modern vanilla and chocolate brown colour scheme. The food here is modern British, and specialties include beef Wellington and steak - customers come back again and again for the sirloin and fillet steaks, all tender, cooked to order and served with your choice of chunky chips or new potatoes. The extensive menu has something for everyone including, this being Brighton, a great range of vegetarian choices. Weather permitting (or even if it doesnt theres heating!), theres a lovely outdoor terrace set in a cobbled sheltered square in the south Lanes.
