We had a lovely lunch for 6 of us in a section right at the front so it felt a bit like private dining & the kids could be noisy without worrying. Lovely food & very welcoming. Coffee cake was the biggest hit!

Popped in again for a light lunch. Smoked haddock fish cakes, with a poached egg, and salad. Delicious.

Had dinner here- had intended to go to Maggie's Fish and Chips but it was full. I'm glad it was! I had the scampi which was lovely and Mrs S had the cod fillet. Hers was so fresh- really delicious. A nice touch was the tartar sauce which I think is home made. If it isn't I'd like to know... More

We stopped off in Hastings with no particular plans, but were pleased to find this restaurant for light refreshments. Now, we had tea and a double layer Victoria sponge piece each, which incidentally was to die for, but had we been in the offing for a meal this would DEFINITELY be the stop for us! Clearly specialising in sea food,... More

Came across this gem of a restaurant on a wet afternoon, fantastic food and friendly service with attention to small details to make a must return venue.

Came down from Broadstairs to come back to this place. Brilliant food and the quality and freshness of the food is 10/10! Service is always great and attentive. Service with a smile every day. Can't recommend enough, a must have when visiting Hastings

We visited for lunch today and asked if the soup of the day was still available. It was only about 1.30 pm. We were assured it was and duly ordered. After about 5 minutes the waiter returned to say they had no soup. He appeared completely indifferent about it and certainly did not apologise. Everything on the menu was REALLY... More

We are so sorry your experience did not meet with your expectations but your critique would carry more weight were it not littered with barbed comment and inaccuracies. Your belief about everything on the menu being REALLY expensive is a matter for you and your pocket but thankfully our near 15 years in this establishment and our many returning customers... More

Meal well cook and nicely presented. Our disappointment came with the bill, we were charged £1.00 for two small pots of tomato ketchup. Given the burgers we had were £12 each this seemed excessive and left us feeling conned. Such a shame we will not return.

Thank you for your review. We are sorry that you felt the extra charge for your sauces was excessive but we believe it is both democratic and equitable that those customers that choose to have any additional items should pay for them rather than pass it on to customers in the general pricing. It is clearly pointed out on the... More

Making most of a rare summer March day, we had a day out to Hastings. I've had a craving for fish & chips for ages and I can honestly say the fish and chips I had today was the best I've had! The batter wasn't at all greasy, and fish was beautiful!! So pleased I wasn't disappointed and will definitely... More

Had a very nice lunch here. The food was well cooked and very tasty. I had cod bites which were super and fish very fresh. My one criticism is the price of the wine, much above what we pay in nearby restaurants so may deter us from returning

Thank you for your review. We are sad that you felt our wines were not within your usual budget. We attempt to offer the best quality wine at various price points and given the overwhelming feedback we have received to date we believe we have gotten the right balance. We do hope we see you again. More
