After seeing the reviews on TripAdvisor we wrongly assumed that this is a 'must Do' when visiting Hastings. Added to that we couldn't get a table at our first attempt so out expectations were pretty high when we did manage to book a table....but it...More

Ate here with my mum and dad. The food is excellent and large portions. Would recommend this place but you have to get there early or book a table as it gets really busy.

Wow the most freshest fish and chips you can get, right on the seafront. The portion sizes are amazing and tastes so delicious. You won't want to eat for the rest of the day. It's an extremely popular place so make sure you book in...More

Had the Dab from the specials board. It was excellent. Also tried the haddock and cod. The batter is excellent, really light and airy. Portions are large but the fish is so well cooked that it doesn't feel fatty or greasy. Twice cooked chips are...More

Lots of public car parks near by. However during the day, the queues for them can be huge!

Here at Maggie's we're in our third decade of serving you hearty portions of the freshest fish, cooked to order, in a warm and welcoming cafe - the same traditional family-friendly approach as when Margaret Banfield first put her name above the door. We're right on the Fisherman's Beach - so you'll enjoy some spectacular views while you tuck in to our fish, direct from the market below us and our specials are straight off the boats with the morning catch - keeping a carbon footprint of less than 20 miles. You can't get fresher than that! Maggie's is licensed too, so you can enjoy a glass of wine or a beer with your meal. We are open six days a week, but it's advisable to call us ahead to reserve your table, and if you've got a special occasion, we welcome parties of up to 40 guests.
