We had a warm and friendly welcome as usual and the menu was extremely tempting with special scallop dishes to complement the regular lunchtime menu. As always te service and food was of the highest quality and it is a restaurant we would reccoment to anyone looking for something a bit special.

At 11.30 we all settled down to listen to Paul Webbe give an excellent talk and demonstration about Rye Scallops, the preparation and cooking of four recipes followed by a Q & A. Paul was a very friendly and a great communicator, a really entertaining hour accompanied by a glass of kir Breton, most acceptable. This followed by a lovely... More

We had a warm welcome to Webbe's on the first night of the Scallop Festival. Five courses of scallops and all were perfect. I loved the seared scallops with mushrooms but the others preferred the broth. We then finished on a fabulously light dessert of lemon mousse and fruit. An enormous pleasure to be treated to such a fabulous meal.... More

Been coming here for years. Came here for the scallop week festival. Pleased to see they still serve the scallops with the roe attached. This restaurant is consistently good. Always good service as well.

This is a great, very vibrant place. The service is friendly and good. My husband was very impressed by the menu, I found some of the dishes a little spicey for my liking, but that's just my issue. The food was well cooked, obviously very fish orientated. Again, this is a personal issue, I did find the food a little... More

Webbe's Cafe was chosen for lunch because of their fame for excellent seafood and we were not disappointed. Scallops for starters were deliciously prepared and a reason to return to this restaurant. The portion of Flounders as the main course were more than generous and well presented. Service was efficient, competent and friendly. Although we chose not to have any... More

We had a super Friday night meal here. Very warm, homely and rustic environment and the dishes were packed of flavour. Our starters were placed up very beautifully. We particularly liked the smoked herring. The main courses were large and tasted very fresh.

OK, this is not a chain, but has sister resto in Hastings and school in same building. Top quality fresh lunch with great creativity and choices. Excellent service and bright clean look to eating area. Every dish was well balanced and very fresh. This is where you want to go. Not free, but good value.

We went to Webbes for my husband birthday. The atmosphere was really lovely and relaxed. The staff were very friendly and chatty. The food was superbly cooked. The steamed scallops were delicious.

Thank Cas B
