Recently lunched at Le Talbooth and the food, as always was outstanding. We both had the carpaccio for starters and it was delicious. I had the sea bass and my partner had the Barnsley chop for mains and both were outstanding. It is not a...More

The Riverside Restaurant is an excellent location for up to 80 people with space for a small music group. The food was superb with a selection to suit all tastes including vegetarian.

We attended the Le Talbooth for a friends birthday and to be brutally honest the whole experience was utterly disastrous. Apologies in advance for my rant but I feel the need to point out huge misgivings to other potential customers before they spend their hard...More

Visited for my birthday lunch. Beautiful setting, we were quite early and therefore only one other couple but it was deathly quiet so you felt you couldn't speak. A little ambient background noise / music would not have gone a miss as it felt uncomfortable....More

Brilliant Sunday lunch - quality and service the best . A step up from most 'gastro pubs' for virtually the same price.

This is a lovely fine dining restaurant, I don't think it is a place for dogs. I can only say what I think, best ask the management.

As reviewers say - £25 approx. each. You could always go to MIlsoms (same company up the hill). We often go around 6 for early dinner. You can't book but it is always lovely and a bit cheaper!

Established 60 years ago, Le Talbooth has grown from a quiet tearoom into the award winning restaurant it is today.Fine dining at its best, in an enviable location beside The River Stour. Le Talbooth suits every occasion from intimate dinner for two to family celebrations or business functions. The 15th century building has three individual dining rooms. The River Room restaurant unfurls onto the impressive open air dining space which is covered by a striking architectural sail. This makes dining outside possible whatever the weather. The old Room, a smaller intimate room with inglenook fireplaces and rich decor and The Waevers Room on the first floor are ideal for private dining parties. Whichever you choose, Le Talbooth will ensure an unforgettable dining experience.
