New to the area and wanted something special for our wedding anniversary, looked online and saw this 1920’s renovated Cinema and it looked fab, so booked for a meal. Our coats were taken when we checked in and then shown to our table (booth), it was so plush and the atmosphere was electric. The waitress was Hannah and I do... More

The Daffodil was quaint and the service great. However, myself and my boyfriend were slightly disappointed with the food, both the quality and portion size for the money. We felt that we were paying for the atmosphere as opposed to the quality of the food.

Visiting the Daffodil is a great trip down memory lane for those of us who remember when cinemas were one off entities in attractively designed purpose built buildings. And how well this old cinema has been transformed into a superb restaurant keeping many of the period features to create a great ambience for the excellent food that is served. Don't... More

Had dinner at the Daffodil on Saturday night - stunning venue and delicious food. Loved the ambience and felt very comfortable. A 3 course meal for 2 with cocktail each and a bottle of wine came to £100 Including service charge - great value. The vegetarian selection was fab and there were at least 4dishes on the main menu to... More

I can state that this was one of the best restaurants with the exception of the European in Derby we have visited in many years. The service, food, ambience and decor were without fault, the attention to detail from confirming that there was accessibility for my wife who uses a wheelchair and on arrival they cemented this with the staff's... Great venue... all three of us had superb meals and were seriously impressed. Elliot gave fantastic service and the whole place had a great buzz. Food was great and reasonably priced for the quality on offer. Highly recommended.

It is an old cinema beautifully converted with terrific attention to detail. The approach, the entrance the welcome all good, the stage is set. Just really goes down hill from there really, not in a catastrophic sense just disappointing. Service ok, food ok but nothing great or even very good. And its not cheap its towards the top end. We... This was our first visit to the Daffodil having been on our list for ages. We were not disappointed with the venue itself it is stunning. To get this review into context I would first like to say that we very much enjoyed our evening. The slow service was very annoying and if we hadn't had loads to catch up... More

If you are staying in Cheltenham, you really should eat at the daffodil, interesting decor being an old cinema, and great food and atmosphere.Go early and have a drink upstairs, great varied drinks list, head down for dinner and make sure you order the creme brûlée for dessert. We have been many times now and have never been disappointed
