Cream tea was wonderful! Their scones are amazing. So is their carrot cake. We visited several times during our stay in Painswick. Friendly service. A cozy little cafe with a delightful atmosphere, where you will want to linger for a while!

I have been in The Patchwork Mouse many times and felt compelled to leave a review as the coffee here is the best with a lovely crema and delicious taste. The cakes are all made locally and they always seem to have new flavours to try. It has a lovely relaxed atmosphere with very nice & helpful staff. If you... More

Often cafes in touristy towns can be quite average, simply because of their location they can get away with murder. Not this cafe! What a wonderful little gem of a cafe. Friendly, comfortable, pleasant decor including a cosy table by the fireplace await the visitor. We had a Viennese coffee. The coffee was fragrant and the layer of proper cream... More

This is our second visit in recent months and having sampled only the coffee before, we were tempted today to try one of their cakes. There was an interesting selection to choose from but we both opted for one of the fruit scones with jam and butter. A nice touch was the choice of 3 different jams. After eating the... More

Called in for lunch with an elderly aunt and a friend today after visiting the snowdrops at the Rococo Gardens. Spotted it as we drove through Painswick so parked in free car park and walked back past the church. Lovely quiet, relaxed atmosphere with very good freshly prepared food and excellent coffee at a reasonable price. Nice stock of tasteful... More

I have the pleasure of being able to pop into the Patchwork mouse weekly. The mouse never fails to disappoint with its selection of cakes and scones, cheese scones and scones with olives, it is just all delicious. The range of coffee and hot chocolate is amazing with a coffee to suit everyone's taste. John and Kay are always there... More
