The thing about chains is that when they have a good proposition, like these guys have, then you expect a consistent standard. To be frank, this meal was pretty poor, bream and squid was off and there was no veg. My mussels were OK but the salt and pepper prawns ( in lieu of the missing squid) was pretty miserable... More

1st time I've eaten in Loch fyne at Gunwarf Quay. I wont be going again .this place lives solely on its name the sea food meals are no nicer than most other restaurants down there. others are cheaper .. the best thing about loch fyne was the ambience which we found ok . its a shame should be so much... Hi Rob H, Thanks for taking the time to review us. I'm terribly sorry you feel we are over priced! We cost our menu based on other high street brand competitors, which we feel is fair considering the price of fish and seafood these days. We do have a range of discount vouchers available online, along side our fantastic Loch... More

I don't know where to start! - Stale bread served with pate - slow sarcastic service from some young girl - had eaten main by the time side had come as server didn't listen to my dietary request so wrong item came out. She needs to be careful slagging off customers so loud! - sarcastic server watched me get a... More

I am rarely disappointed with any aspect of Loch Fyne. The staff are very pleasant and helpful and the service is quick and professional. There is a wide choice on the menu to suit most tastes.

Went here for Sunday lunch on my birthday, food was delicious, fish stew and platter wonderful but the latter at £25 didn't satisfy my sons appetite. my husbands steak cooked to perfection and the burger my other son had was perfectly cooked. However portion sizes are small, we had prawn tortilla for starter and it was two very small tortilla's... More

Went to LochFyne for dinner as a birthday gift, absolutely fantastic service really uplifting team, dinner was amazing so flavorsome, I had smoked haddoch which was amazing, my partner had the burger as he is not a fish eater and it was probably one of the best burgers I had tasted from a restaurant where their primary audience is fish... All of the food is good. But some makes you just want to make noises while other dishes are at the 'not bad' level where there is no complaint at all, but the overall experience is unremarkable. The tuna tartare and smoked haddock scotch egg fall into the latter. The salmon teriyaki however is spectacular. The haggis spring rolls have... More

Stopped here for lunch. Waited to be seated and were introduced to our waiter Clayton. We sat outside in the sun to enjoy the views. Lunch was served in good time, portion sizes are good and our waiter was friendly and attentive. We ordered ham hock terrine and mussels for starters, and then mussels and fries for main and dolcelatte... More
