Attentive staff and lovely food at sensible prices. Hang on, whatever is going on? This will never catch on... I just like every aspect of this eatery. Several visits and every one fine in every way. Mary Poppins would love it. They have the Italian...food off to a T... Not sure if you can get a lift home on that Scooter, mind...More

Freshly cooked good quality food with bags of flavour. Three of our party had pasta the other pizza. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed it. Small intimate family run independent restaurant. The service was outstanding super friendly and very helpful.

Excellent friendly restaurant. Been visiting for years and it’s always good. Just about to move away from Hampshire and will miss this little gem of a place. May have time for one last visit this week. Keep up the good work ‘cos Southsea needs places...like Sopranos.More

Spontaneous date night, tasty food and amazing staff/service. (Jelly beans with the bill were a bonus!) Would definitely come again and recommend.

What a fantastic find! On account that we had already passed a few places by on account that they hadn't got Chardonnay, we finally settled on Sopranos. We were made very welcome, a bottle of Chardonnay and a bottle of Merlot started our meal. Unfortunately,...being lunchtime the catch of the day hadn't arrived in time so we we all settled for Pasta. Four clean plates told the story. Excellent meal. My only complaint is that Vespa should be on the road rather than on display! Added bonus we're the Jelly beans with the extremely reasonable bill.More

We found Sopranos on Trip Advisor when we were spending a few days in Southsea. We telephoned to enquire about a table reservation on our first evening only to find that it was fully booked, and that was a Tuesday evening. We made a reservation...for the following evening and we’re not disappointed. My wife had the daily special which was peppered mackerel, she said it was delicious, I had the speciale pizza which was great. We washed it down with a very nice half litre of Pinot Grigio and went on to have a creme brûlée and profiteroles for desert. Great food, brilliant service, we highly recommend this restaurant.More

We were travelling about and stopped in Portsmouth for one night & Visited after reading reviews and not disappointed, from the atmosphere, service and food we loved it. Best fillet steak ever. We’re all fussy & made changes and everything was spot on. They checked...on us throughout the evening to make sure it was all ok which was nice. Wished it was nearer to me as I would be a regular. Will be recommending it for definite.More

We felt we would need fortifying before attending the Victorious festival at Southsea, so one of our number who lives locally, booked this great little restaurant. We enjoyed bread, basil olive oil and olives to share, plus a variety of pasta dishes. These were all...delicious and freshly cooked to order, plus a couple of bottles of wine. My husband is keen on carbonara, second to being a pie afficionado and his meal did not disappoint at all. This lovely little individual restaurant offers a really good range of dishes at very reasonable prices and is well worth a visit. The pedestrianisation of Palmerston Road will hopefully add to its success too.More

Ate here Saturday evening when visiting the area. We booked a table in the week and glad we did as it was fully booked and they were turning those without reservations away! Decided to go for lasagne and it was the best I’ve ever had!...Staff were very friendly and attentive and I would highly recommend eating here if you love Italian food.More

I don't think they have a specific gluten free menu but there are items on the main menu that are gluten free. They are so helpful that I am sure your son will be well looked after.
