Very noisy restaurant so definitely not the place to go for a quiet dinner. Too noisy to have a conversation with each other. Good customer service and reasonably priced average food.

I've visited Grand Café for Afternoon Tea and two occasions and also for Sunday Lunch and all times I've been really impressed with the ambience, service and of course the food. This visit was no exception. From start to finish myself and friend had a...More

Having moved away from Southampton a few years ago and recently returned we went to the grand cafe (Dock gate 4 previously) tonight as it was always a reliable destination for a good meal and a night out. I must say that I was really...More

Visited here for the first time to celebrate a family members birthday. It was a Sunday evening Cabaret/Dinner. The Tom Jones/Neil Diamond tribute put on a great show. What was really surprising was the food was exceptional, great choices and a very hiigh standard. The...More

Travelled down to Southampton from Surrey for a weekend away, we always visit Oxford street for drinks and we're looking for somewhere different to eat at. Found the Grand Cafe just at the end of the road and it was amazing. From the food to...More

We were greeted by two waitresses who showed us to our beautifully dressed table. Starched white table cloths, linen napkins, fresh flowers, well polished cutlery, water glasses, iced water, mix and match vintage teacups and saucers, there is attention to detail that makes Grand Cafe...More

Well done team, especially Lewis and the lady making cocktails at the bar around 4.45pm, brilliant. Great food, great atmosphere, friendly team who are super polite and accommodating, and lovely décor. You've cracked the code of what makes a great place, will definitely come back.

Took my daughter for her 18th with grandparents and other family members. Considering size of party it was really nicely done, service couldn't have been more attentive (special mention to Lewis!) and food good quality / plenty of it. Without prompting they put balloons on...More

I came here once before when it was Dock Gate 4 and remember it being pretty good. The interior space is quite impressive but what was mostly dining area has now been given over to the bar and the actual dining space is not much...More

I would imagine so. However, it's probably best to call them & ask. They're very friendly & helpful! Tel: 02380339303
Hello - I'm looking at your Christmas Menus but don't see a price for the Lunch and Evening menus on the downloaded document. Only the prices for Christmas Day and NYE are marked. How much is the Evening Group Menu? Thank you.
