Had a lovely pub meal here with family, a great traditional old English pub serving great food. Lots to choose from and make sure you save room for the yummy desserts! Friendly staff and good atmosphere.

Stopped on the way back from the Roman museum. Pub was very busy, but atmosphere was nice. Staff were very good, friendly. The food was excellent. My husband really enjoyed his beef pie. I had a salad and was jealous of his food.

We'd booked quite last minute for a family meal. Food was nice and main bar is very nice but we were sat in back room which was dated and tired. Staff friendly. Could just do with a bit of a facelift - even the menus...More

Hi, I am meeting a friend in St Albans and we want somewhere to go for lunch on Wednesday. I am registered disabled and he has broken his leg, do you have parking available and is the bar accessible for somebody either with a zimmer frame or crutches? God we sound like a right pair don't we?!!

I will be meeting up with friends in St Albans on Saturday 11th June. We would like to eat with you but will have two well behaved dogs with us. What are our options please?

We welcome well behaved dogs in our main bar and extension areas as well as in our newly refurbished garden. Maybe you could get them a treat off of our new 'a la bark' dog treat menu! We look forward to seeing you.

Great pub in the centre of St. Michaels village offering everything one would want from a "local". Can't believe it's not one unless the owners have requested so.
