I love this place, even though we had a voucher, they treated us like their best customers, such lovely people. But it's all about the fish, and mine was delicious, and the starter, awesome. We stayed much longer than we usually would, and although they were very busy there was no sense of being rushed. Can't wait to go back... More

Wow everything about this place is fab, Got to be the best place in the local area doing fresh fish. Very upmarket place but at sensible prices. The restaurant is owned by Chapman's fish wholesalers so you can expect the freshest seafood all year round. Reminds me of another fantastic restaurant in Hastings called White's. :)

We visited Chapmans on a Friday evening. The restaurant was very busy (you need to book), the food was excellent, the service was good and a nice atmosphere. It ticks all the boxes.

My daughter has mentioned this palace some months ago, and have only just got round to booking a table. Thinking a seafood restaurant might be expensive, and knowing that English seafood restaurants fall short of the mark for me, how wrong was i? We had starters of prawns... and a starter of squid, both lovely, really tasty. Mains of mussels... More

Keep going back for very well prepared absolutely fresh seafood: from oysters to local fish crustations and fish pie. For my wife it's oysters, more oysters and a bottle of Chapel Doen Bubbly. I go for Oyster shooters and fish pie. Was quite in the winter but we have had to book in the summer! The decor is bland and... More

Very nice ambience (we sat upstairs) with excellent service and food. The meal selections included a ceviche starter, lobster, mussels and fish pie mains - all excellent. The staff were very friendly, efficient and attentive.

We were invited back to try the revised seafood platter, after our previous visit a few weeks ago, where we had been quite disappointed. Very happy to say that it was very good! The presentation was great - you eat with your eyes and this made us very hungry. There was a nice selection of shellfish, including whelks, mussels, oysters... More
