Great little find, lots of beer made on the premises. You can see the beer being made. I had the foundry burger , with blue cheese, really nice. My wife had beef brisket, again really nice, fresh veg cooked exactly right served piping hot. Bottle of reasonable Argentinian Chardonnay only £16. Check out the gin and tonic menu!

Nice little pub, great beers. Not too impressed about the food, except the pork ribs which were alright and a big portion (didn't like the burger and calamari for starter).

I don't believe that I have ever eaten where I can see my drink being actually brewed and been served by the folk who brew it. I suspect that one will find it hard to arrive here at a quiet time and this place is actually full of vitality, where the workers would pay to come in. The food is... More

We spent a couple of hours here one evening. Their own-brew beer was too good - I tried the ‘Torpedo’, and found I liked it so much that I stayed with it for several pints (pity really, I’d have liked to try their others!), and we then decided we’d stay and eat there. The food was nicely-presented, well-cooked and in... More

Despairing of finding anywhere to eat on a busy Friday night we found ourselves at the Foundry and boy, were we pleased we did. The busy brewery cum pub cum restaurant seems to have the best, most motivated ad enthusiastic staff I have seen for a long time. Helpful, attentive, cheerful (even at that busy time) they made the meal... More

I really couldn't ask for more from this place. The staff were friendly and helpful, the choice of beers was excellent and the food was very good pub food. I will be returning on my next visit to Canterbury.

I've refrained from writing this review for a couple of weeks now, but I cannot hold back any longer. The reason for the one star is I attribute getting food poisoning from a meal I had at the pub on Saturday, 25th February, 2017. I had pork ribs, which were delicious and very filling and my friend had the pulled... More
