We had a wonderful lunch to celebrate my birthday. It was unhurried and relaxed with food we loved in an atmosphere to match. We had two veggies who enjoy the platter and I particularly remember the wild garlic soap and the Ox cheek pie. Will we be going back? I hope so and soon

We ate at The Goods Shed yesterday whilst on a short break in Canterbury. The setting and ambiance was excellent along with the service and food. We chose the wood pigeon and spicy parsnip soup as starters and both chose the rose veal wellington for main, all of which were fantastic. The wine was perfectly chilled and the complementary bread... More

Great quality three course Sunday lunch in beautiful surroundings with really attentive staff and a buzz of the market. Surrounded by locals and railway. Plus obligatory cocktails! All our plates were lovely, but I'd highly recommend the surprisingly scrummy broccoli side. We didn't book, but chanced our luck and I'm glad. But I would suggest booking though as it was... More

Speciality and artisan foods on sale in 'Farmers Market'. The quality of the food is reflected in the restaurant menu which is changed twice daily for lunch and for dinner so you're not always sure what is available or on offer on the day and it can be a little pricey - but a unique venue and experience. Whilst no... More

We booked a table at short notice, so was pleased they could accommodate a table of Seven. I've been to the Good Shed many times but never ate at the mezzanine restaurant. We arrived early and did some shopping (as we always do, bought amazing granary loaf and lush (Olives), Olivers as my daughter used to call them. We ordered... More

Spicy parsnip soup (yum), venison with black pudding (ebery element on this dish was extremely good), very good Brit cheeseboard, top drawer rice pudding. Good wine list. All much enjoyed by us two 'walk ins'. 170 quid for two but over 80 of that was cos we went a 'notch up' on two bottles of wine. Go. It's very nice.

We have eaten here regularly over the years, this time deciding to pop in to the market for a browse at around 11:30am and thought we would like a coffee. Asked the waitress if this was possible to be told breakfast was finished and they can't just do coffee as "we are a restaurant not a coffee shop!" Pretty shocked... More

Really buzzy place to eat on a cold Saturday evening. Unusual ambience in the large brick shed that houses local artisan foods( including Enzo's fantastic breads). The shortish menu reflects all the great produce on hand and is strongly seasonal. There's plenty of fresh fish - i had the moules and skate, my partner .the beef pastrami and guinea fowl.... More

I hadn't enjoyed the delights of an evening meal at the Goods Shed and on the recommendation of my partner thought it was time to remedy this - I wasn't disappointed. I had a terrine of rabbit and ham to start which was very pleasant; we both moved onto Venison with black pudding, celeriac and kale. The venison was perfectly... More
