We visited last night, there were four of and we used travelzoo vouchers. The food was gorgeous and although the portions aren't enormous with the small canapés and bread we were more than full. The staff were fantastic and went out of their way to make sure we had a lovely evening, friendly but professional. Only criticism it wasn't till... More

My wife and I received a Groupon voucher for one nights stay with taster menu dinner and breakfast. We had no issues with booking our stay, although we did have to pay another £10 each as we wanted to use our voucher at a specific time of year. Fair enough. On our arrival we were warmly welcomed, booked in very... More

This was a comfortable hotel with lovely views. The food was very good and we found the tasting menu was more than enough food. I really enjoyed it and as we booked a special deal it was incredibly reasonably priced given how good it was. Nice wine even though we didn't go for any of the bottles in the hundreds... More

My friend took me for an afternoon tea and it was not a pleasant atmosphere. The food was incredibly overpriced, we had booked for two adults plus a child but added a third adult and the staff did not make any effort to make us feel welcome. It felt like we were an inconvenience. It was very 'robotic' service, but... More

We decided to have lunch on Boxing Day in this restaurant - couldn't really have picked a better place. Food was excellent as was the service a really great choice - were told that this was similar to the Sunday lunch menu - we will definitely be returning for a Sunday lunch soon.

A birthday treat, food was beautifully presented, piping hot and very tasty. Staff were very friendly. Was expensive but we enjoyed the food and felt it was worth what we paid.

We stayed for 2 nights and part of the Groupon deal was a 4 course taster menu with a bottle of prosecco. Amazing value as meal would have been £35 per person and the bottle of prosecco was £30 Every course was delicious, I didn't fancy the crab option and asked if I could swap it for another starter, the... We had high hopes for our evening but sadly, we were left wanting. I would agree with a lot of the comments regarding actually trying to contact this place as the answer machine seems to be the only way. To be fair, my message was was responded to the following day. However, the person who spoke to me sounded bored... More

We had two nights there, our stay was very enjoyable, the food was very good, room clean and comfy. The staff was friendly and efficient. We arrived much earlier than was agreed but the room was ready and thus able to drop off our lugage.

Thank Peter B

We hope you're feeling hungry... Look forward to robust, fresh flavors served with imagination and flair in east Kent's newest contemporary restaurant. Our Head Chef presides over heavenly menus that change regularly and use locally caught fish and locally sourced produce. The wine, beer and drinks list is also top notch. Old school... New World... Kent wines from Kent vineyards... Local real ales... Great taste is everything at the Marquis.
