The food here is always great, however they could do with some more vegetarian options or offer a vegetarian special to make choice a bit better. All the staff there are lovely. The ales aren't the best kept but are drinkable. The Adnams stout on...More

Traditional English pub : warm welcome, good beers and tasty simple meals. There is a quiet beer garden at the back.

We found this place while walking back from the castle on day 1 - decided to come for dinner on day 2. Decor is quite nice, with jazz playing on the speakers, and there was live music later. The food took a good while to...More

We stopped in after a tour of Dover Castle and enjoyed a tasty treat. The Fish and Chips were average to good. The best was the Chicken Hunter which was hearty and filling.

It's such a fun place to go for a drink or dine. The only down side is space. It is quite tight for spaces. In the summer they do have use of a garden area. If dining in I suggest eating upstairs.

Had a meal here recently, and have to say we left disappointed. Starters were pricey (everything else reasonably priced), and as a result we shared one, brie wedges, which was very average. Cottage pie and lemon sole mains were ok, although chips served with cottage...More

Simple, tiny store front, leads to a below level authentic British Pub. Wonderful atmosphere, complete with beer selections, full bar, very good food (I had the lamb), true floors, walls, currency from around the world attached to the ceiling beams, and a fun atmosphere. There...More

Blakes was recommended to me by my Hostel manager, said he thought it was some of the best food in Dover. It is handy to the hostel so I tried it. I had a pint of pretty good beer, but the Cod Filet with veggies...More
