We enjoyed this pub so much that we ate there three days out of four while staying close by. The welcome was friendly and the food was excellent each time. Good pub grub and good prices! Highly recommend it.

We have eaten here several times.. Each visit being a superb experience. Staff are friendly, attentive. Food is out of tis world - most recent visit = rump of lamb - perfection!! There are insufficient superlatives to describe this place / the food. PLUS, they have a change of local ales - this time tried the Harvey's, what is not... More

We recently organised lunch at The Flying Horse for a group of eighteen people and can say that, in spite of people ordering different dishes on arrival, all went well without a hitch. The food was good and the service very friendly. Thank you for a great lunch in a cosy bar.

A little bit off the beaten track unless you're driving through Smarden, but well worth going out of your way to find. I booked a lunch table for 7. It wasn't busy, as we always find by going midweek. Very friendly staff and may I say excellent food with very generous portions. Out of the 7 of us we chose... More

Really lovely pub with great food and value for money, large portions too. It's very cosy and full of the friendly locals, we were passing through and stopped for lunch. Wished we lived nearer!

Really attentive staff. Busy pub. Lots of locals. Starters were amazing but main course only average. No complaints though and very good value for money. Glad we booked in advance as they were very busy on a Friday night. Noisy but fun.

My husband and I have eaten at this pub several times. The food has always been excellent. The home made burger in particular is my favourite. The service is good and the staff always friendly. Best pub in the area!
