We heard new owner run this restaurant so my friend and I decided to go for lunch today. We both had the Iconic burger! It was really nicely presented on a big wooden board with a ceramic ship full of chips, a pretty salad in the middle topped with delicious sauce and the massive burger on the right. The burger... Visited on Friday as a party of 4. We had been to Piccolo before but not with the new owners, we were not disappointed. The food was lovely and everything was piping hot and tasty. Two of us had the deep fried goats cheese which was lovely but next time I may ask if I can have it unfried, my... More

Booked a table for the wife's birthday treat. On arrival we got a warm welcome with friendly staff. We started with garlic breads which arrived piping hot and was superb, i must recommend the blue cheese with red onion. The main was equally excellent. You must try this little gem and highly recommend to all. Superb staff, Superb food, will... More

Arrived to a warm welcome. Staff polite. Been here before when it was ciao. It's relatively small. Menu seemed quite limited. 2 chicken dishes, pasta, pizzas, stroganoff, steak...and 2-3 fish dishes. Quite a few starters but nothing that appealed to myself. Not even olives on the menu. Service was good, we shared a tomato garlic bread which was nice. I... More

Absolutely fuming! Booked to take my seriously disabled mother in law for a birthday treat. We absolutely appreciate that it's difficult to take someone as ill as this to a busy restaurant on a Saturday evening however restaurants should be used to this. My fiancé called the restaurant to explain and ask if they were fully wheel chair accessible. The... More

Hi Lisa, I'm sure nobody appreciates the language your fiancé used infront of our customers. It isn't very nice to use the "F"'word while talking to people! We didn't want him in our restaurant otherwise we were planning to bring the sweet lady from the back entrance which is no problem. But your fiancé didn't allowe me a chance to... More

Nice place, the waitress was lovely, she got quite busy on her own but was always very attentive and friendly. Food was quick to come, there were good portions and were really tasty and good value for money. Would recommend as a good place to pop for tea without breaking the budget but nice food. The toilets were up very... More

We really missed the old Ciao when they went and changed the meals to all-you-can eat, the food quality dropped massively. Since this restaurant has being taken over as Piccolo though the food is right back up there, it's the best Italian in Hull without a doubt. The atmosphere is cosy and the service is always friendly.

Tucked away at the bottom end of Chants Ave it's a cosy place and because of this I wouldn't recommend visiting with a large party of people. Also sitting upstairs is highly recommended as it's more spacious and the lighting is much better. The menu has plenty to choose from with a range of things such as pork, chicken, beef,... More
