Lovely little tea room. The home made cakes are to die for. We visit every time we are in the lakes. Excellent service and good value for money. The staff are friendly and as long as it's not raining they have a lovely little area outside along the river you can sit

What a lovely hidden gem! We called in here for a quick bite to eat for lunch today and were not disappointed. There were 4 of us and we had a bacon & brie panini, a Cumberland sausage sandwich and two fruit scones with clotted clean and preserve. The food was delicious and the service fantastic. The macchiato was the... More

Excellent good value lunch. Homemade soup and a lovely range of homemade cakes. Inside and outside seating. All dog friendly with a bowl of treats available for £1.

We called into this cafe on a bitterly cold day and enjoyed a large mug of the home made soup and bread, with a cuppa. Reasonably priced and tasty, with friendly staff. This cafe is simply furnished and the menu is not very big, however the food is good.

This is a good place for lunch in an interesting setting. Not many options, and not good if you're looking for a huge meal, but if you want a reasonably portioned lunch this is the perfect place. Recommend.

We visited this lovely little cafe during the Christmas break, and it was full of character and really welcoming. Soup and bread was lovely, as was the tea and coffee. It is a charming place, and perfect for a spot of lunch whilst in Ambleside

Went for lunch but left before ordering as the menu was limited & unappealing. Quite a few items had bacon, ham or mayonnaise in. The best thing about this cafe is its riverside location. If you are after a bacon sandwich in a riverside location, it may well fit the bill. Certainly not much of a choice for vegetarians unless... More

Friendly little cafe not far from the main car park. There are tables outside by the beck but it was too wet for that so we sat inside. It is in an old Mill and simply furnished and does nice coffee and excellent scones and cakes.

Thank Ian R
