Gorgeous place especially after the weekend rush! There were the occasional ignorant few folks but they were from the big smoke so maybe that's how it is down there! Shame some people can't go with the flow and have to moan on about everything that breathes! I doubt very much that the Daffodils nor Wordsworth himself would have got a... More

As we were looking round the garden centre we stopped for tea for two. Horendous queues and very expensive tea. There are better places to stop for drinks in Grasmere.

Good menu and nice feel, a little expensive but I think that's just the lake district norm. Very clean and tidy and relaxing atmosphere after a lovely walk.will be back

Popped in after a long walk. The cafe was busy but we found a table at a window looking out at a stunning view. There was a good choice of cakes etc, we decided on the fruit scones with butter and jam. They were very tasty but you couldn't spread them as they just crumbled all over the plate when... More

Great to see the Potting Shed is dog friendly. To stop for a coffee, lunch or to just mooch about the garden centre with our dog was a very pleasant experience. Lots of quirky gifts for presents.

Visited Grasmere village and as is often the case couldn't find parking. Saw The Potting Shed (with car park) so thought we'd give it a try. It was wonderful. Our light lunch was superb - delicious, plentiful, and beautifully presented. There's a great shop too.

Called here today for lunch, soup was good, if a bit too salty for our tastes. Got a pot of tea for 2, £2.10 per person & only one tea bag in the pot which meant when you topped it up with hot water for a second cup it was very weak.
